only D1 is close to D2 experience.
PoE is also close.
i've tried:
Wolcen (horrible)
Last Epoch(horrible)
Grim dawn(ok, soso)
dungeon siege 1-2-3
titan quest
torchlight 1-2
sacred 1-2
any recommendations for someone who is not that religious about D2?

+1 for Sacred here. Loved it back in the day, it's an amazing game (especially if you play with the Seraphim, lol).
Tried Sacred 2 as well, but my computer at the time wasn't good enough to run it maxed out, so I uninstalled it. It was looking pretty promising, though.
titan quest, torch light 1&2.
i forgot if i played sacred 2 or 1...
gotta check it out then
thanks..
if you have more let me know..
you have this old kinda d2 ish game where you controll 5 samurais. yeah it sounds like baldursgate but it realy plays like diablo 2.
cant remember the name tho oO
Dungeon Siege 2. Many mechanics resemble those from Diablo quite close: item types (normal, magic, rare, set, unique), skill trees, enchanting (like socketing, including runeword-like recipes) and so on.
The major difference is that you control the entire party, not just one character, but you can play solo (except for just a few quests which requires a specific party member) for an extra challenge.
If you’ve got a Nintendo switch or wii I’d recommend Zelda: breath of the wild. It’s similar in that it’s a hack and slash action rpg with incredible depth of play and re-play value, and rng plays just as much a role as player skill. There are differences though - it’s 3d and there’s only 1 character, the different classes come from how you play.
To add on this topic, any games similar to d2 for mobile devices?
All good mentions so far. Loved Sacred 1 & 2. Titan Quest was a classic. Grim Dawn wasn't bad. Zelda BoTW was really good (I'd recommend playing on Hard mode, as normal was waaay too easy IMO).
And there were a couple awesome ARPG's on PSP back in the day. I think my favorites were:
Every now and then I'll dust off my PSP and load one up. So many good RPGs on that system and able to download them all easily for free and play with custom firmware. Guessing one could emulate most of them now on PC as well.
Ever tried some D2 mods? I've played lots of them in the past and there are good ones. Median XL was the one i realy dove deep into, but i'm not sure if it's working with your default d2r installation.
Post ur offer before adding me. No PM. Only add me if u offer bin/lf. No reply after 3 days=offer rejected
No socketing service. If u get item otherwise, retract ur pending offer. Edit ur post or post "retracted" to do so.
There are a lot of good recommendations here, and I would second many of them, but it seems you've already tried most of them and didn't enjoy them.
With that in mind, I second Blubbalutsch recommendation of trying some D2/D2R mods. A few of them change the game pretty significantly, and even some of the ones that don't can add spice back to the game if you are bored.

try shadow : awakening
yeah, its kinda slow no?
the graphics are really great, the combos are cool(playing warrior), and the plot seems interesting, I'll try and give it more go..playing on hard..could be a mistake..
but it's not a diablo, PoE is better at least in terms of closer to diablo gameplay.
Heck, I've played just about every game you can find that is "like Skyrim," "like Diablo," "like Factorio," and a dozen others besides. I've even beat most of them. I've never found an equal to quite a few games.
