It takes a few hours sometimes.
Yesterday I did 87 runs without a Key. It happens. He did drop an Ohm during that time tho so I am not complaining

Oh yeah... Dumbass me (who never ever farms for anything) decided to farm some keys... It almost ended in me gone completely insane I was getting Keys of Hate approx. a bit lower than average on every 15-ish runs or so and I was like okay 1/12 is not that bad after all... But then the black series begun and 3 hours 40 minutes later Hate key dropped finally. I just exited the game and feel like I won't do that thing ever again. Holy fricking poop that was painful!!!

Farm everything. Wreck Ubers.
■ Currently on a break from D2, but occasionally log in for a bit of monster slaying.

Given the Key drops when I sporadically farmed those areas when they are terrorized (or The Countess when I need some specific low/mid runes in a hurry...), my feeling is that Key farming is not very rewarding...
(compared to Essences from example, Keys seems way rarer...)

arcane is my fave for my Nova mancer... all those ghosts and super chests - more runes and gems than The Countess for me at least

Now I regret trading my only hate Key.
They are probably the hardest to get, but also the most valuable.
