No.

Also they can't be made into magic (blue) or set (green) items either. Only runeword bases (socketed w h i t e items)

What? That's not right. You can make Runewords in superior items.

Yeah, that's definitely not correct.

You can make runewords in any gray socketed item of the correct type and with the correct number of sockets, superior or not. Or any White such item that you can add the correct number of sockets to.

No magic, rare, unique or set though.

I guess the confusion is that you can't use the socket recipe on superior items?

By countless people countless times, yes. Superior bases are being used all over the place reliably.

That much is true. If you get a superior White base and want to add sockets to it, your only way is
Larzuk
so you're kinda stuck with only those runeword options that need the max number of sockets. The socket cube recipe doesn't work on superior. So yeah, superior does often times require extra drop luck in that it also needs to drop with the needed number of sockets.

Ok hang on. Then I think there is something we should verify.
I think that superior White turned to socketed via lazaruk isnā€™t rube word worthy. As far as I recall. If you can check this?

@rikus I can assure you that you can make rune words in items socketed via
Larzuk
. No matter if superior or not.

If you take a superior White and have lazaruk socket it, via socket quest, then yes you can put a runeword in it. You cannot put sockets in superior items with the cube .
