I decided to make my own post here in the forums with my Guide.

2.4 changed quite a bit for Summon Druid and I think those changes warrant a new thread.

Yeah this is not a Summon Druid.
This is a Fury Druid. Just look at the gear shown 25s into the video.

yea you're right. only druids who fail to kill things get the honour of the summon druid title.
but seriously. it does look like fun. and i'm pretty sure there are some people who also want to join the pack and not just watch the pack.

But call it what it is. A hybrid.

Calling it a Summon Druid when the majority of the damage comes from Fury just doesn't sit right with me.

Also there is something sketchy with the gear.
At 18s it shows a level 41

Now go to 25s and look at that gear and tell me how they get the 21 +skills.

Raven. maybe it's pre buffed?

He casts the

Raven in that video and the tooltip shows level 41 when he hovers it.

And I don't see the +skills.
At best he has +2 from a CoH, +2 from Rings, +2 Amu (I think it's Highlords), +2 Spirit Shield and 4 charms which sums up to 12.

There is 100% some hero edit shenanigans going on.

Not saying it can't be fun, to each his own. But if summons barely ever get an actual hit in, then calling it a summon druid is kind of like making a blizz sorc, putting 1 point into thunderstorm and then referring to her as a light sorc.

yea looks like it. maybe it's just to show how it could look like with max skill gear. i don't know.

Think I'm good. I hate playing melee so I'll never play like that myself.

I also really hate it when people make videos like to "claim/proof" things without showing the gear/skills and then when you dig a little deeper it's obvious that something is sketchy about it.

I don't doubt that it's possible to get all that stats with the correct gear and all the charms but that's not what is shown in the video.
And that's dishonest and misleading to viewers giving a false impression of how easy it is.

reading on the forum post. he does say that in this one he is simulating gear he didn't have. he simulated skiller and torch and some other +skills items with small charms with all skills, and half the gear is random garbage. there is also more videos of his play through guide with self found items and hell gear options.

If you change the Jewel in your Merc's Reaper's Toll to a

Shael and socket an Ias Jewel in his

Helm he gain an additional frame for

Jab.

Also not sure why you have that shield on your weapon swap. You can save a lot of strength if you use something else.
Same with the points in Dexterity. Not sure why you have any points in that.
