Tried finding the answer in a thread here but couldn't find it. So thought I'd ask if there's a way to filter out(away) all the superior versions of the armor, so that I can only browse non superiors?

Not possible currently, you can only filter for Superior items only, or (Normal items + Superior items) only.

If I may ask, what is the reason that you want "at most" filter (not superior) filter (opposed to "at least" superior)? Do you want to cube the armor to get sockets ( low-quality items and superior items do not work)?
+1 on the request. On the same vein of filtering out Eth type of the item.
