Description

While the Price History on an item is quite useful for uniques and single items, it's useless on items that could be traded with a variety of prices (normal / perfect roll) or quantity.

It would be nice to have a link in the price history, where I could read through the original trade :)

Can be used to make Runewords:

@Trollwut Added descriptions to the cron for archiving prices in update 1.28. So you'll start seeing descriptions alongside sales in a day or two's time.

Yeah I had storage concerns initially when I was developing the historical price check. More room to work with now so I'm going to try and preserve descriptions and other filter selections like sockets/
Eth
etc so that people have more context when looking at historical data. Was an oversight on my part when I built v1.0 of the site. For the meantime you'll have to rely on recent sales to get the level of detail requested.

Thenks for your detailed answer! Totally understand, as I'm a dev myself :D

I hijack my own thread: Do you have any statement on why not to open source (parts of) the site?

Could bring in some ideas or split the work.

Because I spent years of my life building this alone, and I don't want someone to nick it. Has happened to me before with other projects.

Totally understandable :)
And I really like the effort you put in!

That's why I aksed for partial open source. Maybe some shizzle you can't rip things out, but others can contribute. Or an API or whatever. :D

No really, I totally understand NOT open sourcing stuff.
