20 I believe.

You can also cube your runes up to the next levels to make higher runes and save space! I wouldn't sell any of them...

Lets get it together!

Ok, thank you!

And which of them are worth not to cube up? Such as
Ral
(for crafting).

I cube up everything, but hold back one of each kind. Cube rune recipes at this link. Keep one of each rune back in case it is part of a runeword you need later.

Idk what others are doing, but this is how I have my setup: Each rune up to
Lem
has it's own row taking up 1/2 of one of my shared stash pages. This gives me up to 5 of each rune for anything I need them for available on any character. If a row gets over 5 I cube it up until
Lum
or so, since anything lower than that I find often enough anyway.

If anything
Lum
+ gets over 5 it goes to my rune mule or is traded up, which is also where anything
Pul
+ goes.

You don't care about the
Ral
which are "more worth" because of the crafting recipes?

Not so far, but tbh I haven't really done much crafting in the past. If I do & need a bunch of
Ral
runes at some point I'll probably see if I can trade a higher rune for a bulk of them or something. I always just traded for my high end gear since I never get lucky with rolls on anything I do find. >.>

If you're getting up to
Lum
then farming normal or nightmare countess for
Ral
probably isn't difficult

I save four of each up to
Lem
. From
Pul
on, I save 2 of each. so far they all fit on one shared stash page.
7
I have a little rune library so I can keep 1 of each, and anything below
Ist
gets upped.

I generally have plenty of lower runes floating around so I'm not stressed for the odd Stealth or Insight. Upping runes means I'm greedy for chipped + flawed gems, so a mule for that too. The rate at which I find them (even in Hell) exceeds the rate I pick up runes, so I wouldn't necessarily advocate trading for chippies -- though if you are keen I'd be happy to fleece you ;)

I'm not one for crafting, and happy to let the opportunity cost of selling 40 Rals pass me by. My first big up session yielded two
Lem
from all the rubbo runes picked up since launch, so whether it's worth it to you is debatable. For me that's plenty good enough :)

I started doing the same as alot of people here, saving all my low runes to cube them up when I could, hade a shared stash as well, but playing 2 month (consistantly tbh) with a blizzard firewall sorc (on my own) made me do quite a lot of runs of every zones you can imagine, so I made quite alot of drops (only item wise, didn't drop a single runes above
Pul
, yeah 6hours minimum à day, in hell.. Not even a good hell forge) but had no use for any of them so I just started trading them the old school way making pub trade game for better runes, puls, ums, ists and finally got higher ones (before even knowing about d2.
Io
). Then I met a great guy in a trade game a started playing with him for a bit, splitting each drop fairly when traded, or we'd pay each other half the price if we needed the item and then we dropped our first high runes, here a
Vex
, there an
Ohm
, oh look here is a
Sur
rune my friend. So we continued splitting them, and we made another character (I did a
Frenzy
barb and he did a light javazon) so we were in need of those runes for a bit until we lvled to 80~. Now I want to make another character so I spend my runes to make my end game on my barb (Enigma, double hoto, double Grief torch, Anni bk etc) so I don't really any of the lower runes anymore, so I keep only above
Ko
and rals/sols and pameth and prubys for crafting caster amulets and blood rings. I also keep a mule full of
Tal
Thul
Ort
Amn
(+
Hel
) for some pack trades, and the
Dol
for when I cross a
Chipped Emerald
once in a while to cube in
Hel
.. Other wise if I need any lower runes I'll go do some quick countess runs in normal or NM.. Anyway, everybody has their way but as I have like 3 mules full of sockets bases 1 for charmes, another just for skillers, 1 for crafting components, 1 for pgms to reroll my
Baal
/diablo/
Nihlathak
grand charms, 1 with my personal collection of uniques, 1 for my good tradable rares, 1 for my biggest failed drops, 1 necro mule full of necro related stuff, 1 Amazon mule same story, 3 lvl 80-92 (Paladin smiter, sorc and barb) and 2 mules I use to put my low lvl/low rolls to give away everyday.. Hope you don't mind the chunk of this post

I keep
Tal
,
Ort
,
Amn
,
Thul
,
Ral
, and
Sol
for selling to crafters and people who want to roll runewords.

I keep
Shael
and
Dol
so that I can cube them up into
Hel

I keep
Hel
for rerolling runewords

and finally, I keep
Io
-
Fal
for their small value.

I only cube up
Shael
->
Dol
->
Hel
and
Io
->
Lum
, nothing else is worth wasting 3 runes to cube into the next rune.

I cube only and solely
Ko
. Anything else is either not worth the time or too valuable as it is.

I collect every single rune and cube them up to
Fal
:D

All prices are negotiable.

I just think cubing up to
Fal
makes you lose value on your runes.

A
Pul
is usually worth anywhere from 20-30 Pgems. Since a
Lem
is worth half a
Pul
, a
Lem
would be worth 10-15 PGems. You can buy a
Lem
for 2
Fal
, so a
Fal
is worth 5-8Pgems.

Now I've personally sold
Lum
for 3-4 Pgems and
Ko
for 4-5 PGems. It would take 9 Lums to cube up into a
Fal
. At 3-4 PGems per
Lum
, that is a value of 27-36PGems worth of
Lum
for 5-8Pgems worth of
Fal
. You're losing about 80% the value of your runes by cubing up Lums. Its not so bad with
Ko
, because it only takes 12-15Pgems worth of
Ko
to cube up into 5-8 PGems worth of
Fal
. You'd only be losing about 60% of your runes' value.

It isn't easy to trade multiple
Lum
,
Ko
,
Fal
at a time, but if you have a WTS listing open all the time you can usually sell them individually over time.
