Interesting: They are changing items (mostly low level) for ladder only...
And if you have a bunch of Statues or Shards on NL, I think you should keep them and try to get some more until the patch is released

Ohhh interesting. So instead of adding runrwords for ladder they are modifying existing certain set and unique items to have ladder only rolls.

yeah, i think they're taking some steps towards making Spirit less mandatory - though, it still is better,

Bane Ash and

Gravenspine can fill the gap between level 20 and finding the runes for Spirit... Spirit will probably still be easier to make.
Still, I like these changes. and 20% FRW on

Bloodletter? playing normal as barb is going to be so much more fun.

Previous ladder only items will be available in Non-Ladder with the new season. Items that have been listed below which have been changed will only be available in Ladder (Reign of the Warlock only, items will not be changed for D2 Classic or Lord of Destruction).

Llama thinks because they are moving the Ladder only rune words to NL, that new Ladder only Rune Words are on the way. I imagine they'll also be underwhelming.

I think this is the only possible interpretation, because they are already "available" but not "createable".

I'm quite happy with the changes. Ladder runewords finally available in non-ladder, some item adjustments for normal gear and some bug fixes.

I only wonder what "An additional item will now drop alongside a Worldstone Shard." will be.

I'd guess that shards simply won't count against the picks anymore.
So rather than some special mystery item, you'll simply get all of the normal drops and then a shard on top, as opposed to a shard but one less non-shard item.

thanks for sharing. interesting with tweaking the uniques, would also do it sequentially, because you of course piss off people who have the old versions in perfect rolls. would make sense to start with the high level items to give people more time to accumulate the new versions, but i guess they are testing the water here.

as for the changes themselves, it's a mixed bag. angelic set and

Seems more like another step in that "trying to make early to mid game gear more worthwhile" effort, akin to what they've already done with many sets in an earlier D2:R patch. Many a high lvl unique really doesn't need any changes after all as they're perfectly fine and often BiS as they are. Given, some of those do kinda suck as well by comparison but nowhere near as much as the early to mid game stuff.

And a change like "added socketed (1)" just screams "we're not looking at endgame, we just want to add something early/mid to save you from blowing your

Larzuk socket along the way".

Though FRW on manald is actually kinda hot and does make that somewhat tempting even for certain (albeit few) endgame builds.

The "ladder only" part is weird though, seeing how they didn't artifically limit it in the last round of changes. But oh well..gotta have something be different on ladder I guess, what with the RWs finally rolling down.
