Hey y’all! 2 of my favourite post are the forums/post-you-lucky-finds-t734150.html, and forums/biggest-fail-drops-t709636.html

These topics account for probably 66% of our game play, but now I’ve got another question which I think covers the rest:

How long since your last real lucky streak?

And you probably know what I mean - we’ve all had that one time where we found 2, 3, 4 or more runes in rapid succession, multiple gg items or just had great exp gains in a single game before. And some of us have never had anything like it before or since...

Tell me your story!

Mine was about 3 months ago (maybe more) where my trav running zerker found 1 -
Ber
and 2 -
Jah
in like 50 runs, my first 50 runs too!

Since then... I’ve found a
Sur
,
Lo
, a few gg uniques, but never at the same location and never as fast.

It’s been a few months since I had a lucky streak like that...

It has somehow become normal for me: Having a really good day, followed by a lot of frustrating days.
My sorcs also seem to be immune to HR drops ... which is kinda frustrating this ladder.

Usually not online / checking d2io between 11pm - 7am CET. ( 4pm - 0am CST )

Damn those are some good drops, I made a hammerdin just to do Chaos for those uniques, leveled up to 94 from like 80 ssf in Chaos with nothing noteworthy dropping

No idea on what is a real lucky steak is. :)

However I seem to be lucky when making / crafting stuff : perfect HotO first time, perfect Fortitude first time, and my best sale so far is a crafted
Caster Belt
(but did 40-ish to get that one).

I also have the beginner's luck : second Anni I found on DClone was a 20/18/10 that I still wear 5 months after, first ever torch obtained with my pally and sorc friend (I am necro) is a 19/20 necro that... I still wear too of course. I think I have madly danced those two times for some time, thought Pally was making me a joke when he IDed it ! :D

Since I stopped actively playing the game about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I'm just slowly cashing in on residual luck until I feel refreshed enough to play again.

Actually, my luck mostly stopped when I started focusing on level 99. The rush to get there was so frantic that I often blew opportunities I would have otherwise been mad about. During that time, I often clicked things without stopping, like when I popped a
Ber
from a basket in
Halls of Pain
, only to have it snatched up by someone else because my click accuracy went to absolute shit during those couple weeks of TZ runs that I constantly missed amazing items on the Ground and because the game's click-targeting sucks.

Had I not already gotten a
Jah
,
Griffon's Eye
, and a perfect 4OS ethereal superior
Archon Plate
due to luck and quicker/more accurate reflexes than others in
Baal
runs earlier in the season, I would have been mad about the
Ber
. But the same scenario happening to someone else allowed me to scoop up a
Harlequin Crest
in the Pit the next day. I also got my 99 and I have enough in-game wealth to not dwell on a single
Ber
other than not winning the adrenaline rush sweepstakes, so whatever.

I'd say the 30 days from 9/17 to 10/17 were my luckiest yet:

9/17 - 200% ED
Eth
Titans horked in WSK to start off the streak. Made a Zon shortly after, and she's currently lvl 91 and kicking ass
9/20 -
Sur
hork @ Trav
9/26 - Rolled a perfect 6/6/4 Cta in a
Flail
(for the Zon)
10/2 -
Death's Web
drop in WSK with -50% enemy poison resist roll. Sold for
Jah

10/9 -
Ber
hork @ Trav
10/13 -
Ber
hork @ Trav
10/14 - Ton of Uber walks on NL that day, managed to roll a 19/20/10
10/16 - Gambled and sold rare +2 Barb ammy for 2
Jah
+
Ber
+
Vex

10/17 -
Jah
hork @ Trav

Things have been pretty uneventful since the
Jah
hork a week ago, but I can feel the next streak coming soon xD

When I'm not slaying demons, I'm usually out hiking mountains.
