Colossal Ancients experience as a Firelock

I just wanted to share my experience with the Colossal Ancients on my Firelock, and man, thank god the event doesn’t reset when you go back through the portal.

After I took down

Korlic, my merc died, and I tried pushing through with just

Bind Demon tanking… yeah, that was rough. I probably had to

Revive my merc around five times before finally bringing down

Madawc. Since I’m running Firelock, I saved

Talic for last, and luckily, he dropped a

Defender’s Fire Jewel.

Gear-wise, I’m running Obsession and

Burnt Text, with CTA and Spirit

Monarch on offhand. I’ve got

Shako,

Arachnid Mesh,

Magefist, plus some rare amulet, rings, and

Greaves. Definitely not the most optimized build, but it gets the job done. My Hephasto rolled

Fanaticism with Cursed and Stone Skin, which were the big ones to deal with.

Honestly, I’d say this felt harder than

Uber Tristram, mainly because you’re dealing with all three Ancients at once. Still very doable though. Warlock builds are just insanely OP.

Now, time to slap this jewel into the green condom on my head.

Altough on difficulty of the challenge..
I think you should definitely use some time to hunt

Conviction Demon.

Also are you using

Consume? Cause that is massive boost to your fire damage and I see you have two defilers summoned.

My concern is that when I do Ancients with Warlock (both Fire and

Echoing Strike) the biggest challenge unfortunately is to keep the one correct barbarian alive as last one.
It's not that I'm bragging. I seriously think this is an issue that new endgame is not scaled up to the potential of the newest class.

But in the end, again, happy for your drop;) I'm sure it will help you massively no matter if you use it yourself or trade for full gear for your warlock.

I just got lucky with this Hephasto with

Fanaticism and gave up hunting one with

Conviction. I was thinking that I can get a Fire Sunder Charm in the future to help with my Fire skills.

I will add one point into

Consume as soon as I level up!

I think the

Echoing Strike build has a bigger problem with keeping a specific ancient alive. I was just spectating and dropping Lethargy when

Talic was left, my merc and Hephasto did all the work with that one.

I'm keeping this one and probably try to get another for trade soon! Thanks!
