Can I do ubers with this char?

I have a 82 Zealot and was wondering if i could do Ubers with this gear and like only 2-3 points in Smite (and some more from + skills) since i allocated lots of points in Zeal+ Sacrifice.

(I'm playing SP)


My skills: Max Zeal, max Sacrifice ( Zeal synergy), max Fanaticism, max Holy Shield. Rest is skill dependencies and i have 6 spare skill points.

Gear:

Weapon: Black
Weapon swap: Wand with lvl 4 Life Tap Charges

Shield: Griswold's Honor with 3 Perfect Diamonds

Armor: Duress (in Ornate Plate)

Helm: Guillaume's Face

Amulet: Mara's Kaleidoscope

Ring 1: Raven Frost

Ring 1: Yellow ring with resists

Belt: Nosferatu's Coil

Glove: Laying of Hands

Boot: Goblin Toe's

I have other gear options so let me know if I'm missing something that is not super rare for a Single Player. (That means I can't for ex trade for a Dracul's Grasp)

I also have 1 Larzuk socket reward left.

Edit: some of the stuff i have in my stash that might be useful:

- 18% DR Vampire's Gaze
- Treachery
- Um Rune
- Wizardspike
- Spirit Shield

I was able to do it before with a lot of budget gear as well. Never was a huge fan of the Black RW, and that current setup is going to net you 45% ias. If you get lucky enough to find it, Heaven's Light is a much better budget friendly option for uber weapon, comes with 2 sockets you can put Shael in. Gives you the 60% Smite breakpoint all on it's own.

i've never done it with a pally.

But I wasn't able to kill Uber Mephisto with my Frenzy barb until i got a Lightsabre, for the lightning absorb.

T gods, wisps, something i think you will need.

75 light resist and i was getting 1 shotted constantly.

everything else is probably doable. I'm not an ubers expert though by any means. just ran them ~3 times with my own keys.

It will be possible. However, you need to make sure you have absolutely capped Lightning resistance even with Mephisto's convinction aura (-125 all res!). Uber Mephisto casts 29 Bolts applying 1-482 Lightning Damage each - this is absolutely massive damage, and is one of the reasons why having a Thundergod's Vigor, Wisp Projector, or Lightsabre is so valuable on this fight.

Additionally, you cannot neglect any of the other resistances, as while you Smite Mephisto, all his Skeleton Mage adds are going to attack you, and you need to be capped for Diablo and Baal as well. However, assuming careful pulling, you should be able to kill Mephisto separately from the others and therefore swap gear if you need to. Ideally you will pre-buff with Treachery before doing any of the mini-Ubers dropping the organs and before entering Uber Tristram.

You could use a 1 point Salvation Aura on this fight, losing the benefits from Fanaticism. This is fine, as Mephisto will still drop like a fly, assuming he does not kill you first. Alternatively, you could use Wizardspike as your main Weapon, and continue using Fanaticism. You'll still have the 6 frame Smite with it. This sims for me to be faster than running Salvation aura. In both cases you will be capped on Resistances.

This will depend on your other charms, general approach, on and what you think is riskier. Bring a lot of Full Rejuv potions. Just farm some elite packs in whatever your favourite area is.

You cannot forget that getting the Organs is also challenging due to the large amounts of adds around. Lilith in particular can absolutely chonk you multiple times, if you dont have max block, and if you die there and are surrounded by the Succubi, then that could be very spicy. For your first Ubers, definitely take your time and carefully clear her den, them pull her out somewhere safe. The Succubi hurt a lot.

Yes, invest in Salvation, get a Life Tap Wand on swap and you'll be able to do it. It will be difficult... But you can

Also, does the knockback from Smite work with bosses or will they still attack me?

Is there any cheaper alternative for lightning absorb? I don't have any of those 3 items and they're rare to obtain in SP

No, is not necessary. I use a Um jewel in mine.

Knockback does nothing against ubers. You will get hit. Make sure you have the lifetap ready.

Sorry, no, you do not need it with the gear you have. I was playing with the setups and left it in there by mistake.

Here are all the lightning absorb items that I know of.
You could just risk it and see how it goes.

As long as you have 75 light resist you should be fine without the absorb. I've run them a bunch of times without it and had no problems (unless I forget to swap my Treachery back to Smoke). First thing I noticed is you went overkill on the CB with 115%. Based on the gear you have I'd swap out Black for Wizardspike and make sure to prebuff with Treachery for the extra 60 res and 15% DR. That will keep your resists maxed out for Meph and after him you could swap Black back in if you want but 75% CB is plenty. Without Dracs you just need to keep an eye on your Life Tap since it only lasts 23 seconds. You should be fine for Ubers since all you really need is close to 300 resists for Meph with 50% Cb and a Life Tap source. The mini ubers could be tougher without a good Zeal weapon though since you need to get to them and Lilith has a lot of ranged monsters that can hit hard when there's a big group of them especially when there's a unique one.

please tell us how it went. i am curious cause i did my first ubers a few days ago with a - i assume (?) - better equipped char and it went terrible. had to get help here in the forum. ^^
