His point wasn't DClone vs. Ubers, it was PMH on a merc.
And that is correct. PMH only works if you as the player apply it, not if your merc (or

Iron Golem for that matter) does, unless that was indeed recently changed which I doubt.

Open wounds and poison can be applied by the merc and still stop regen. PMH coming from a merc does nothing, regardless of whether PMH generally works on the target mob.

Blackhorns on a merc would apply the slow though, potentially having made dclone an easier target (less quick at running out of blizzards) which may be why he was finally able to take him down. After all, a decently geared blizz sorc doesn't need PMH against dclone, she just needs him to stand still long enough.

Belt with PMH and a bow on switch , couple bow shots tadaa then i just blast him with blizz in the arcane (palace celler) area. Very rewarding ..except when the anni rolls sh*t haha

Make that bow on switch a cheap little Edge and you don't have to waste your

Belt slot for the PMH.

I always have fun killing my dclone and then try joining the public games for the adrenaline rush, if I can get another or two.

I got my first ever Ladder anni today.

Smite really is too good, didn't even have

Life Tap. My only issue was the constant freeze/slowdown, I don't have a source of PMH (need to sort that) so his life would regen faster than I could hit him during those periods. Got there in the end though, anni was meh but I'm pleased.

Black provides CB. You need it to quickly reduce his life.
Once Dclone has only 10% of lifes left, you need OW or PMH to stop him from healing.
Edge is made in a Missile Weapon that means you have to hit him many times. As a smiter, you have many better choices while you can still

Smite him (

Gore Rider,

Blood Belt, Drac, or any weapon that has OW, PMH)

Fortuitously I just found

Nature's Peace so I'll just whack that on for PMH, and I made a

Belt with OW.
