Dear D2 pros,

please do not judge me for this stupid question, but I would have a general question regarding using 2 weapons (
Frenzy
barb):
does it matter on what I have what weapon? Actually I have
Lightsabre
and a
Bloodmoon
- I noticed my stats are not completely the same when switching them.
For example: The 20% IAS from the
Lightsabre
will not be added in the stats when I use is in my offhand, but the lightning-absorb will be. Same with the
Bloodmoon
- the 14% Life Leach will be only added in my stats when I habe it in my ‚main hand‘.

But anyway, when using 2 weapons I should get used of all attributes from my weapons anyway, latest every 2nd hit, right?

So is my very dumb assumption right, that it makes no difference on which hand I use what weapon?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Yes, certain OH stats are not applied to a MH-only attack. This includes Leech and IAS, as you have correctly noted. These parameters are specific to the weapon that performs the attack. This means that only the following item stats on your secondary weapon should be applied when attacking with your primary weapon:

Code: Select all

    Skill bonuses
    Attribute bonuses
    + to Life/Mana/Maximum Stamina
    Maximum Life/Mana %
    Replenish Life
    Regenerate Mana %
+ to Life/Mana After Each (Demon) Kill
% Damage Taken Goes to Mana
    Attacker Takes (Lightning) Damage
    % Extra Gold From Monsters
% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items
    +% to Experience Gained
    Reduce All Vendor Prices %
    + to Light Radius
    % Increased Chance of Blocking
    % Faster Run/Walk /Hit Recovery/Block/Cast Rate
    + Defence (vs Missile)
    +% Enhanced Defence
    (Magic) Damage Reduced (by %)
    Resist +%
    +% to Maximum Resist
    + Absorb (%)
    Poison Length Reduced by %
    Half Freeze Duration
    Cannot be Frozen
    +% to Skill Damage
    -% to Enemy Resistance
I have taken this information from a very old post on AB.

The conclusion for you is that in 99% of cases, it does not matter which one you MH and OH if you attack with double weapons and dont use a MH only attack.
