Kingslayer: what base to choose

Hello,

I am wondering with which base should i go to craft a Kingslayer for a

Frenzy, or maybe

Whirlwind, barb.
Offhand will be Death in sup

Eth

Colossus Sword, and no doubt here.
But for Kingslayer in main hand what do you think it would be the best choice?

Phase Blade, so max attack speed with no additional ias gear but low damage,

Cryptic Sword, so max attack speed with little ias equip (highlord should be enough) and a better max dmg?

Balrog Blade and

Conquest Sword would require an excessively ias focused equipment and i'd rather be free from those constraints.
And furthermore, does the base damage makes that big of a difference, given that Kingslayer doesn't actually grant that much enhanced damage, and is more useful for crushing blow and open wounds rather than sheer damage?

My initial question is why are you wanting to use Kingslayer over something like an Ethereal Oath? Death already has a hefty amount of Crushing Blow. Open Wounds is only useful against Ubers when you're using high damage weapons like Death. I feel like the higher damage from Oath, at the similar cost of the runes in Kingslayer greatly outweighs any of the affixes on Kingslayer.

However if you're absolutely set on using Kingslayer I think I'd go for the

Cryptic Sword for the balance between weapon speed and damage. Phaseblade does hit the fastest breakpoint easier but the physical damage it's going to provide is just bad.

Cryptic Sword can get to the fastest break point without too much extra IAS. Anything slower than the

Cryptic Sword seems bad because Death is already a slow weapon.

amulet & gloves & 20

Frenzy = 10 frames

I have a Kingslayer in a

Phase Blade on my

Frenzy Barb but I only use it for ubers/dclone.

No, I know. That's why it's an either-or: WW+Death or

Frenzy, but no Death.

more like doing what i like to do, i like slashing monsters not dismembering their dead bodies, i d rather have 2 runs than spending time horking

That is some dedicated role-playing. I can respect that.

Anyway i was looking for some advice on Kingslayer base, i will mostly use it for ubers but i wanted to know if when crafted in a decent dmg base would be viable for normal pvm too or just useful for crushing blow and open wounds simce it has anyway too low enhanced damage and no indestructible mod like ie Oath as suggested before, which can take advantage of

Eth base

I was planning on eventually making a Kingslayer in a 4 os berzerker

Axe, but now that the

Cryptic Sword is mentioned I'll probably do that, too, since I have a weird surplus of

Gul runes.

Also seconding Oath as an option, but tbh I have an Oath

Colossus Sword with massive damage and max frames and the result is really disappointing sadly. I guess its CB or nothing with weapons these days.

On a less related note,

Stormlash

Scourge (unique) basically has kingslayers best features (CB/IAS) but also has

Static Field proc and considerable lightening damage, even some lightening absorb which is fabulous for ubers.
