Duelling Strategy
Bow Amazon (Hard)
Bow Amazon have the range advantage, so there is no point in waiting.
Teleport in a unpredictable
Pattern as quickly as possible and start casting
Frozen Orb's.
Most good bow Amazon will constantly run while firing one or two
Guided Arrow's at a time. when they do this you should
Teleport in front of where they are going and cast the
Frozen Orb's back against them.
Even though you little chance of winning, it's a really fun and action packed duel. Luck is a big factor here.
Lightning Javelin Amazon (Easy)
Javelin Amazon's have the great disadvantage like most melee characters do, that they have to chase you. This makes it a lot easier for you to get in full
Frozen Orb's. They do have
Lightning Fury's to make you stay sharp, since it hurts, and if you let them get close they will finish you of instantly.
Poison Javelin Amazon (Easy)
If you get hit your hit points will drop to 1 in a matter of seconds. 75% poison length reduced and stacked resist doesn't matter, still drop to 1 hit point no matter what. Ignore resist and choose damage. Use blizzard and wait for the right time to strike. If the poison do hit you, then you should
Teleport on top of them instantly and start spamming
Frozen Orb's. Poison won't kill you, so they will have to switch to
Guided Arrow or
Lightning Bolt to finish you.
Bone Necromancer (Medium)
This duel is pretty even, however its one of the harder duels to play. They will play very defensive always having huge amounts of of
Bone Spirit's on the map. the trick is to aim a blizzard at them, and when they start to run away from it you
Teleport after them and cast
Frozen Orb's.
Always
Teleport in front of them and shoot the
Frozen Orb's backwards. If they
Dodge well and get of some
Bone Spirit's, then get out of there and repeat the strategy.
Venom Necromancer (Easy)
Pretty much the same duels as against poison Amazon's, however you will have to rely more on blizzard here, since
Poison Nova hit every angle, which makes it hard to sneak up behind them and
Frozen Orb.
Lightning Assassin (Impossible)
Best advice is to refuse to duel them for fun, and forfeit if you bump into them in a tournament.
Fire Assassin (Medium)
A defensive play style is a must here, with the possibility of you jumping them once for a quick
Frozen Orb before getting out of there.
Watch his movements so you don't
Teleport into traps. Run a bit before trying to
Teleport if they
Mind Blast you. Blizzard will be your main skill is this duel.
Kick Assassin (Easy)
Kick Assassin will have to come to you, and simply can't deal enough damage compared to you if you
Teleport the right way.
Teleport in short areas, and often after your own
Frozen Orb's.
Elemental Druid (Medium)
Elemental Druid is pretty hard to take down, if they are allowed to recast their
Cyclone Armor.
Cyclone Armor just absorb your damage without caring about the fact that you have tons of - resist. They will have a lot of faster run / walk, so you should really watch out here.
Use max block setup, because you might be able to block the first damage taken from
Tornado's. Use short distance
Teleport's here, because you will need to hit him a few times in a row to damage him before he recasts
Cyclone Armor.
Fissure Druid (Easy)
They hurt like hell if they actually do hit you, but they often don't.
Teleport in front of them and cast
Frozen Orb's backwards. Keep them running until they die.
Rabies Druid (Easy)
Even though you have the advantage here, one mistake will result in a loss. They will have high faster run / walk, so watch out. They will play defensively and try to catch you if you
Teleport to close to them while chasing. They often have a bit longer range than most other melees.
Whirlwind Barbarian (Easy)
Whirlwind Barbarian will have to come to you, but be aware of the fact that Barabarian's tank a sick amount of
Frozen Orb's. Patience is the
Key to victory.
Charge/smite Paladin (Easy)
Predict their movement (shouldn't be that hard) you will land a lot full
Frozen Orb's on them, which makes this a very short duel. Use lakes / rocks to your advantage to break their
Charge.
Fire Sorceress (Hard)
If they play defensive all the time, your in for a 15-20 min duel you cant win. Most fire sorceress don't though, and this can be a very enjoyable duel for both parts. Play a bit passive (without whoring, since we dont wanna provoke them to do the same) and try to land some good orbs before retreating a bit
to repeat. If they name lock a lot you should try walking southwest while casting
Frozen Orb's northeast, thereby avoiding the first
Fireball's from the name lock and dealing tons of damage. Often one full orb is enough to win.
Lightning Sorceress (Hard)
Not as hard as fire sorceress, but very close to. They don't have the same range advantage but their thunderstorm makes them a lot more dangerous on mid range. Use short range
Teleport's anf often in triangles, to make the take the most damage when engaging you.
They will win most of the times, but these are often close and fun duels.
Cold Sorceress (Medium)
Ice Blast have a short range, and not nearly as much damage as lightning or
Fireball, and blizzard is a bit harder for them to hit you with. Play against them as a combo of lightning and a fire Sorceress. Name lock
Evade like against fire Sorceress if they rely on
Ice Blast, and short range
Teleport's like against light sorceress if they use blizzard.
