One of many items named after an NPC, Griswold's Edge is a good weapon for the early game. It's almost purely focused on physical damage, and its knockback effect can prevent the character from being surrounded, but this can also be detrimental, as it will make it harder to keep hitting the same target. Ribcracker breaks the norm for Staves in being a physical weapon instead of being used by casters. It has greatly increased durability which isn't shown in its list of mods, but prevents it from breaking as quickly as other staves would. Ribcracker is regarded as one of the best weapons for a shapeshifter druid, and boasts great damage, IAS, FHR, and Crushing Blow. It also makes up for giving up a shield by granting +100% defense. Although it appears rather mediocre on its own, Trang-Oul's Wing is the best possible off-hand item for a poison necromancer that has not yet obtained a Death's Web.
When worn with two other items in its set - ideally Trang-Oul's Girth and Trang-Oul's Claws - the trophy grants -25% enemy poison resistance. That's a massive boost in damage output that does not appear on one's character sheet.
By comparison, Death's Web grants -40% to -50% enemy poison resistance, but costs several orders of magnitude more in trade value than a Trang-Oul trophy.
