On a more serious note: Be it games or everything else: Set and negotiate the limits and always keep up talking to each other to hold or get things back in balance before it escalates
My kid is too young still, but I also think this is exactly the right approach. Get your kids involved in your hobbies so you can get triple value out of enjoying them: 1. Do your hobby, 2. Teach your kid to have hobbies, 3. Give your partner some free time
I can't wait to DM for my son and his buddies.
