Description

Hi,

im looking for the best base for me in regards on a good mixture between good physical damage and speed to kill both fire or physical resistant/immune monsters.
I was thinking of a
Cryptic Axe
, but maybe there are other good options i am not aware of?
I heard a
Mancatcher
got better in a patch?
What do you think?

Im not sure about my speed in bearform being affected with different weapons at all tho...

Can be used to make Runewords:

Mancatcher
is the worst because druid has bad attack speeds with spears. Use polearms.

Which one depends on you using Metamorphosis/
Jalal's Mane
and Hustle (faster fire damage) or Fortitude (higher slower physical damage). Generally though it'll be between Threshers and GPA. Consider
Cryptic Axe
only while using Metamorphosis.

You can use Hustle polearm as a swap to proc
Burst of Speed
. Then it doesn't matter really. Or you can use Hustle as a main weapon with Metamorphosis.

* I trade both ladder and non-ladder, please check before asking.
* All my trades are for runes, keys (especially KoT and KoH) and essences!

The Calculator from @krathkor (thx!) says it is -20 for
Mancatcher
in bearform. Looks very fast to me.

The idea from @basicnecromancy sounds good. I will go for

1 fast weapon with Hustle (
Thresher
for the non-fire immunes / or
Hexfire
+ Shield XY...but i heard shields are bad for bears?)
1 slow weapon with Obedience (grand pole
Axe
for the fire immunes)

For the head im trying to get Metamorphosis later.
Do you think Delirium with the Delirium proc is a viable option till i got
Cham
?

Do you think i need a
Flame Rift
fire breaker as a hybrid, or is it just
Weaken
me? (that would be the only reason i go for Flickering Flame instead).

I could break with a mercs Infinity but i think im not gonna grind that hard to get my hand on 2
Ber
in the S4.
Now im just looking for a merc that gives me as much survivability and crowd control as possible.
As a single hitter, i already feel the problems in melee, when swarmed.

Just a fun thought, when im going back to non ladder after S4, maybe useless:
I was thinking about
Demon Crossbow
because -60 but the damage and good cheap runewords are not there for it.
Phoenix in it would be a waste to test (if not working), but maybe it is worth after all (doing Phoenix after S4 ends in non ladder).

Druid is the fastest with: 2-handed axes (i.e.
Decapitator
,
Glorious Axe
), polearms (i.e.
Thresher
), 2-handed staves (
Archon Staff
), 2-handed hammers (
Thunder Maul
).This will help you.
To drive the point home,
Thresher
reaches 11 FPA at 46 IAS as opposed to
Mancatcher
's 14 FPA at 48 IAS.

Definitely go for
Flame Rift
. Offset the negatives with either a Flickering Flame in +3
Fire Claws
pelt or with small charms. For a mercenary an act5 barbarian with double Plague might be fine for your purposes. Also 2
Cham
< 2
Ber
. You could even put the Flickering Flame on him. He will be tough as nails even without the life leech and can provide the aura to you.
