In some respects this runeword is really similar to
Fortitude because it offers similar defense and resistances bonuses. Compared to
Fortitude it lacks Enhanced Damage and Faster Cast Rate, but on the other hand it adds really valuable magic damage reduction and Faster Hit Recovery (more than
Smoke) mods.
Prudence also costs only a fraction of what
Fortitude does.
Although it gives up to 170% Enhanced Defense (compared to Foritude 200% Enhanced Defense), it can be made in an ethereal armor thanks to the self-repair mod. Because of that
Prudence can give higher Defense stat than
Fortitude or even
Stone.
Overall this runeword in terms of stats is somewhere between
Stone,
Smoke and
Fortitude and has a really interesting set of bonuses. For some builds
Prudence can hit that sweet spot that helps to achieve certain FHR breakpoints and to max out resistances.
