Yeah this is related to adblocker - disable it and you won't have these kinds of issues. People don't realise how intrusive and aggressive extensions are like this.
I believe I read somewhere that this is an issue with adblock. I can't confirm though as I don't use it on this website.
Edge runs on chromium, so the backend should be pretty similar to chrome other than any extensions you use, so I would start there.
