What does 'upping' an item mean?
So thanks to Arkk's recent guide I have learned about 'EthBugging' armor for high defensive stats.
Now I’m hearing a lot about 'Upping' items. What does this refer to? Is it another bug that people exploit to improve item stats?

no. it's just using cube recipe to convert unique item's base item from normal to exceptional or exceptional to elite.
Ah ok so like say I took Silks of the Victor and used on it, then used on it, it would then be considered ‘upped?’

some people also write up'ed / up'd
People use the same term for rares. For example if you found a rare Executioner Sword that was ethereal with repair mod, and Cruel mod, it might be worth "upping" it to Colossus Blade.
I didn't know that was a thing. Gonna keep this in mind for later.
