Favourite Runes by appearance

Just for fun. And inspired by posts on the recent thread on rune names.

Visually, which are/is your favourite rune(s)? As in, which rune ‘letter’ / design / pictograph is/are your fave?

Also drop a post below if you are able to (and I suspect many of you can) visually identify all the runes by looking at the letter / design / pictograph without having to check the name by hovering over it…

I know it’s not the type of soft skill many of you will include on your resumes / CV… unless you are applying to Blizzard.. but hey, I’m curious.

Finally I can pay tribute to the sick dancing moves of the Eld rune! Loved it from the start!

And I have also always liked the happy jumping Ber guy and the Zod king hiding behind his Crown

I love the reasoning behind the why! Nice. It's almost like the Rorschach test - what do you see when you look into this rune?

Ber because it's a dancing homie

Zod for stairs, Ist for a pair of wings and Hel for a typhoon/ Hurricane

noooo I didn’t see “choose up to 3” until I’d already cast a vote… I am a fool…

Dol I like because of its shooting star type shape, so that’s what I voted on. But Vex, Mal, Ist, and Ohm are also pretty neat (another reason Exile is probably my favourite word, it combines most of my favourite runes artistically too). And El I think is under-appreciated. It’s kind of cute!

As for recognising them all by sight… not only can I do that, but when my partner said “ Jah is the one before Zod, right?” in the car the other day, not only did I correct him, but also listed every single rune in order backwards to El. I couldn’t do that with the alphabet if I tried. This is my digits of pi.

It was great practise for learning Greek and Japanese later in life, honestly.

Now added - although by adding a further option, it seems to have had the unfortunately side effect of wiping out the existing votes! Doh.
