Description
I maxed bolt, chains and Abyss out, put 10 hard points in bind in case I want to bind a champion at some point, 10 hard in mastery to get the 3 bounds and the rest in prereqs and Consume to push my duration to 760 seconds and +41% life.
Pretty happy with this build. We'll see how it does in the field.

Can be used to make Runewords:

I'm actually starting an Abyss lock now. I'm guessing Holy Freeze is the aura you would want?
OP
It is for what I'm trying to accomplish. Since these don't do a lot of damage, especially now since the Bind Demon nerf, I use HF to slow packs down. Couple that with a pretty stout lethargy sigil and stuff comes to a standstill. I had to eat like 7 of these guys before I got the HF auraAtomicharmony24 wrote: 2 hours agoI'm actually starting an Abyss lock now. I'm guessing Holy Freeze is the aura you would want?
i've been liking Vigor a lot lately..but at least i'll rethink the aura now. Thanks!
OP
Vigor is great too! After running them both on a few different demons, I just prefer to use HF to slow things down so I have more time to stage the attack especially with heralds dropping out of the sky nowAtomicharmony24 wrote: 1 hour agoi've been liking Vigor a lot lately..but at least i'll rethink the aura now. Regarding the respec, are champions worth it? You get some mildly nice mods, but you lose the Terror zone affix, so seems like only a small benefit for 9 point investment. Also, there are no champion or boss packs in the uber areas I believe.
Vigor is largely pointless if you have Enigma imo, seeing how you won't do much running and bound demons are plenty fast as is.
Fana or conc make for a solid choice if you expect your demon to do real damage (which yes, they still can, even post-patch and even in a non-demon build). Plus they buff your merc at the same time.
Holy Freeze would typically be the go-to for builds where you yourself do all of the (non-physical/-weapon) dmg and hence only want your demon as a tank. In the case of a cursed demon and a phys build (or a more dmg-focused demon), there's actually still something to be said for Holy Freeze as well since the aura tick just adds another chance for amp to proc which can (depending on build/demon/targets) on average outperform fana or conc.

Since EE was turned into a 1-pt wonder, you can easily max out Bind Demon as well (before even hitting lvl 90) so you can just merrily run around with super uniques in a full magic Chaos build without sacrificing anything of note. Heph ftw!
Plus the TZ affix is in most cases just a worse/limited version of the "real" affix so if you get a unique/super with the affix it'll actually be better than a normal mob's TZ version of that affix (for most, not all). Plus you get more than just 1. Though the search obv. becomes harder. And yeah, uber areas aren't suitable for it.
OP
I could be mistaken but I swear I saw a blue named champion pit lord in there which is why I went back to town to add a few more points in bind to try and grab him but something was preventing me from binding him fast enough before my merc killed him. I was scanning another pack of pits lords from a distance and again, I swear I saw an actual named pit lord in there which would signal at least a unique, correct? Or am I just imagining things again? lolSchnorki wrote: 49 minutes agoSince EE was turned into a 1-pt wonder, you can easily max out Bind Demon as well (before even hitting lvl 90) so you can just merrily run around with super uniques in a full magic Chaos build without sacrificing anything of note. Ok you may be right. The google AI told me there weren’t, but I asked it again and this time it says there are, lol. It’s been a while since I’ve done it, so I couldn’t remember.Rhaegar86 wrote: 31 minutes agoI could be mistaken but I swear I saw a blue named champion pit lord in there which is why I went back to town to add a few more points in bind to try and grab him but something was preventing me from binding him fast enough before my merc killed him. So a ghostly version (80% physical resistance) of those 5-immunity pit lords could be pretty nice for Ubers.
OP
Indeed they would be because the non-ghostly versions are pretty damn hard to kill as it isvarangium wrote: 13 minutes agoOk you may be right.
