so I have full set now. I need a Stormshield and to find a Stone of Jordan and a Raven Frost. I want a Spirit shield and a Call To Arms. With gear, how should I tally up the skills? Help!
Can be used to make Runewords:

Why do you want those big strenght required Shields in this setup? Maybe try Lidless Wall instead and put like 60 more points into energy. Further the set gives you all around stats (but no strenght at all), so you can just choose a sorceress build you like most i guess.
Stats or skills? What build would you like to have and why Stormshield and not Spirit?Whero wrote: 16 hours agoso I have full set now. I need a Stormshield and to find a Stone of Jordan and a Raven Frost. I want a Spirit shield and a Call To Arms. With gear, how should I tally up the skills? Help!
Aside from Cold Absorb, Raven Frost doesn't add much value to a Sorceress because, if I recall correctly, getting chilled doesn't slow down spell casting. In the rare occasion of you wanting to move around instead of teleporting, just drink a Thawing Potion... then double on The Stone of Jordan for more mana and +skill
I also like Dwarf Star and Wisp Projector for the extra elemental absorption. Fire and Lightning a far more important elements to absorb than Cold.
@Karel , Stormshield is usually the preferred option for HC players, which seems to be the case of the OP.

Never tried HC, true, but my first build that made through hell is Cold sorc in full Tal Rasha, Spirit, SoJ and Dwarf Star. Very tanky, never died with that set what I can remember. Is Stormshield really safer for a sorc? I would preffer faster TP and faster casting of more powerfull spells that could save you from being harmed ( Glacial Spike f.e.) than just passive defense but yeah, never tried HC. And yes, Raven Frost was not that usefull, Dwarf Star is super awesome, hydras in trav or from Baal waves deal 0 dmg + extra Gold is always welcomeChristianKiss wrote: 2 hours agoAside from Cold Absorb, Raven Frost doesn't add much value to a Sorceress because, if I recall correctly, getting chilled doesn't slow down spell casting. Yeah, Stormshield really makes a difference depending on the sorceress. Mine had points to spare since she uses Fronzen Orb as the main attack, so I spent 1 point in Energy Shield and 20 on Telekinesis. Then I use Stormshield with Um and Verdungo's Belt for even more damage reduction (up to 50% if your Belt has a good roll). That means you can get cursed by Amp Damage or Decrepify, get surrounded by mobs, disconnected from the internet, and probably still survive in HCKarel wrote: 1 hour agoNever tried HC, true, but my first build that made through hell is Cold sorc in full Tal Rasha, Spirit, SoJ and Dwarf Star. Spirit has its uses from a defensive perspective. It gives FCR like you said and also FHR, not to mention the resistances. It's just a less defensive option than Stormshield because of the physical damage reduction, which can come handy especially against those exploding dolls. Remember, not dying in SC is a different than not dying in HC
Yeah got you. I would probably behave differently if I knew that I really can't die and probably would die exactly because of thatChristianKiss wrote: 1 hour agoYeah, Stormshield really makes a difference depending on the sorceress. Remember, not dying in SC is a different than not dying in HCIf you eventually do die in SC, then it's alright. But not in HC — So increasing your chances to stay alive is always going to be a good thing. As for the FCR, the 63% breakpoint is very easy to reach without Spirit and is still quick enough to Teleport out of a tough situation.
