Yes, I have met lots of cow heralds. But if you haven't spawned a

Herald yet, just one T1 Cow

Herald will spawn in the cow level. For this you must kill about two-thirds of the cows. There is just a very small chance that a second

Herald (T2) spawns and only if the first heralds spawned very early (between 52% and 56% zone completion).
Do you maybe kill just a few cows? Maybe just

nope, full clears, including many times starting on t5 aggro level.. guess rng has been sparse on cow heralds

I don't know if I could call that luck, since the drops are garbage, but I've seen lots of cow heralds, even two per run sometimes

well at least they are less likely to take a full quiver of freezing

You cannot force a cow TZ with a shard. It must be a 30 min server TZ.

ah that explains it lol
thanks, didn't know. is it the only area not affected by shards?

One day I was in a mood to terrorize all game to try getting as much Heralds I could.
So went on sharding Act I, Act II act Act III.

After killing

Mephisto I took the portal to Act IV and started to kill stuff, expecting the T5 Heralds to spawn.

Killed all

Outer Steppes monsters, no Heralds. I thought it was an unlucky zone.

Went on

Plains of Despair, killed all monsters, no Heralds spawning. I was, c'mon, no f'king Heralds in two zones.

Went ahead on

City of the Damned and after half of zone killed with no Heralds I figured out why I was so unlucky. I forgot to activate the

Deep Worldstone Shard. Dumb me .

That was a big oof, what a rollercoaster

has anybody managed to spawn 2+ heralds simultaneously yet? i haven't after 3.2, although i killed some unhealthy three digit number of them by now.. and before 3.2, it had happened one or twice

With multiple players across different zones, yes, regularly.

Within the same zone, it should no longer be possible as spawning one

Herald drops your clear % to 0, making it mathematically impossible to spawn a 2nd one without enough further clearing after the 1st. Though we are talking about Blizzard here so that reset-sequencing can probably break down every so often and still allow for a back to back spawn in rare situations.
I wanna say I've seen it happen exactly once since they changed it but I'm actually not 100% anymore whether that really was just after the patch or actually still just before. I remember making a post related to it for another reason but too lazy to look that up and compare the date.
