99% to 100% of your build

I feel like I am 99% done with my warlock build, but that last 1% is going to take 10x longer than the first 99% (precision: low).

At this point, the only thing left is getting a couple of ridiculously rare finds and trading up current items for the same items with slightly better stats, e.g. that 1% extra -enemy magic res, or a 30% Mara instead of 29%. But content-wise, I have done everything, and build-wise, I am very happy with the almost final version.

For example, to completely max out my bound demon's potential, I need a magic

Grimoire with +3 Demon skills and a +3

Bind Demon staffmod:
Odds of rolling selected mods: 1/11,785
Odds of rolling selected values or higher: 1/353,562

Likewise, I need a magic

Dagger with the same:
Odds of rolling selected mods: 1/6202 (0.02%)
Odds of rolling selected values or higher: 1/186,054

People don't pick up blue daggers and books, so basically up to me to find them or reroll them.

For the

Abyss side of my build, it's just supplementing the demon, but sure, I could max that further with some rearranging the inventory, acquiring a row of 5/20s and a couple of extra Chaos skillers, which might let me swap Obsession for Void and pick up the extra FCR on a rare amulet instead of Mara's (okay, that puts me back to maybe 95% of build). That will be another slog. Will I see the difference? Or just be proud of the bowel-shaking presence of an unstoppable warlock?

Has anyone gotten to 100% yet? How long did it take you to get there?

imo this little 1% is much more exciting then the other 99

got 10/10 fire jewel but not the 3/3/3/2os/20 fire orb
got neither 15/20 griffon nor 10/10 lightning jewel for the self wield Infinity zon
got no 6 sk lavelin for my Plague javeliner or 50 Bramble
got no double os / double zon skill

Diadem or 10/10 jewel or for the icemaiden or Plague javeliner or Ice with 30 increased cold dmg (only 29)
got -10 res sunders for all of them but other stats not perfect
got enough skillers but not perfect
etc

I've got about 70% left on Lvl 97 and then all of Lvl 98, so plenty of time. Agree with above. This is an exciting part of the character's progression. The character has reached a nice place in terms of power, and gameplay is enjoyable. Still have plenty of Chronicle left, so while hunting for new chronicle entries, it's still thrilling when an ungrade drops--or any high rune, of course.

All of my builds are cobbled together with whatever rolls I get.
Rolling 2 perfect Dreams for my melee sorc is pure fantasy, even just max resistances seems so out of my reach.
I spent hours shopping for socketed magic items with red hues just to fill with all red IAS jewels for my physical bowazon because fashion!
I will never achieve a fully optimized, min-maxxed build, short of paying real money and that's just no fun.

Whatever you do, don't start crafting... those tri-res
