I underestimated Miasma Chains

I've been running around with a super demon and casting

Abyss for support. Sometimes comsuming a defiler. Life was good. Then it became great.

Ghost Harold spawns in

Frozen River. Physical immune, of course. Seemed to be at least partly magic resistant.

Abyss just wasn't chopping down Harold like I hoped, although I managed to work down the adds.

Mrs. Demon

Lance-ur-face was only tapping Harold with her spectral hit. So I got bored and started fiddling with Miasma Chains since I've always ignored it due to it being an awkward skill. I have 125+ FCR. I smash MC pointing right at my feet and Boom!, 10 chains right there in front of me. P8, T5, btw. So I tele right over Harold's head and the chains stretch right over him. He doesn't even have time to turn around because Demon Ferrari is on him in a millisecond after teleporting. And I just watch his health drop halfway. Second time's the charm and Harold's a goner.

It's more cumbersome if you have to move a lot, but I am sufficiently impressed to now put in a bit of practice.

it gets much better when you start precasting it. you can drop all 10 chains on the other side of the heard/boss spawn because you see the lightning and plop them down.

chains gets stuck on any mob or obstacle whether friendly or not. so what i do is

Death Mark my demons over just a bit away from me so they dont move, then drop all 10 chains in a very small fan Pattern when the mobs are spawning.

this also absolutely wrecks

Baal waves as well.

im running full

Abyss/chains/bolt and 20 in bind and 1 in

Consume and the rest in demon mastery. bound demon and 1 defiler plus 1 consumed. they tank, you wreck and not just with

Very close to my build, but 20 in DM and 17 I think in

Miasma Bolt. I start games with

Baal book, +3 demon ammy and full stack of demon skillers then quickly swap out for Meph book/Mara/res all +

Gheed charms (still need to work on Chaos skillers). Insane amount of physical damage and magic damage is quite good, too. I feel like this will really round itself out when I equip Chaos skillers, guardian light, and hit 99 (96.5 now) with a full 20 in

Miasma Bolt. That and learn how to use MC effectively.

the main thing to get miasma chains to go where you want is moving/teleporting your merc demons out of the way then casting.

most of the times they dont listen but when they do. 10 chains at 6k cloud tick per second with

Abyss to hold blows shit up before your demon even gets a chance to hit once.

i also load in full demon gear for the bonuses. then switch to Chaos stuff. also a

Bone Break then swap to cleft. so demon can still hit physical immunes. but only when doing shards/ubers.
