Description

I have a few different setups and just got a 52 inch 6144x2560 monitor. I used to play either on an 83 inch OLED with 5.2 surround or a 27 inch 144hz 2k monitor. This monitor I just got is probably 5 times better than either of the other setups. I'm about 11 feet from my 83 and that's good for movies, but probably not good enough for fast pace games. The 27 was great at fast paced, but this 52 inch is absolutely insane. Objects are large enough for me to notice detail that I've never seen before, it's also much more immersive than the 27. I do have a 43.5 inch 4k monitor and it actually feels too big to game on. It's simply too tall and i get fatigued while playing, basically having to look up now and then.

What setups do you find to be the best?

Switched to a 45" 5k2k extra-curved (800R) ultra-wide end of last year and it is honestly insane. And not just for D2:R.

It is very much at the top-end of what is acceptable in size as a regular monitor imo as anything noticeably larger would not only just be too big to still be comfortable (on a desk) but would also require an even higher resolution so as not to drop too low in PPI again which comes with requirements that for many titles (and screens themselves for that matter) just won't be met yet.

At the same time, after getting used to it, I really don't want to go lower again. Not just for gaming/immersion but also for productivity as you're basically looking at 3+ full sheets of paper side by side (give or take) which is just fantastic.

The curve is admittedly intense and only works if your environment (mainly depth of your desk) is suitable for it. But if it is and once you're used to it, it is just glorious.
