Go find Archon Plate 603 4os armor, it will be good for you and your merc.
Defense is not that important but....dont make trash.
Or just find 524 Archon Plate 4 os.
Eth Sacred Armor 15 ED is good but not that good vs 603 def Archon Plate.
Basically, any non Eth , def > 510, you can use. Even if you want to sell , it will still have value Ohm +

Please be aware, all my trade is in non ladder d2r. Not warlock.
You want 3 sockets to make a cheap Hysteria or Treachery.
The def is too low for any of the 4os runeswords.

I don't fully agree, 690 def is not too bad for a Forti, imo, and the base is already there and the str req are not hery highso even a mid-level merc can wear a Scarab Husk Forti.
Of course going for Sacred Armor gives more defense, but you must find or buy the base, the merc must have a very high level andyour helmet must give you Str.
So it's s question of min-maxing versus fast utility.
I think he mean to say that Eth armor, its roll is too low. Any easy 4 Eth Archon Plate will beat it and not very expensive.

Build fort, you need spend Lo. Therefore, you can put your budget to 2 Ist to get a fine base. Or several Perfect Amethyst to get Archon Plate 4 os non Eth non super 500 Def.
