Anyone rushing to find their unicorn demon before the patch?

Aura ticks use the same proc chance and each pulse counts as "1 hit", regardless of the number of targets affected.
So

Holy Freeze won't still give you reliable insta-amp. It'll be down to 5% chance per aura tick.
If that 5% chance hits, it will then amp every target hit by the aura on that tick.

That was easy enough to see on the PTR.

Just tested it cuz..why not? Easy enough to do.

Turns out if you have a warlock with a measly 1 pt in

Bind Demon and bind Hephasto and then use that same warlock on the PTR, you keep said Hephasto, despite too few points to be allowed to have him. Still replaces the aura (started with conv again just for testing purposes) but the demon is not auto-killed.

So yeah, if they don't fix that before the patch hits, anyone farming up their Hephasto or whatever demon of choice before the patch will then get to keep it (minus the aura being replaced with the new one where applicable) until it gets lost for other reasons.

Oh my, that seems like a serious oversight. Hope they catch it, or else it could become a contentious follow-up patch. "You can't have this. But actually you can. But we didn't mean that so we're taking it away for reals this time..."

Yeah, auras automatically get replaced by the new equivalent when you log in with that character. So you can keep Hephasto (or whichever demon) but you won't keep

Abyss range thing. Anything beyond that is out of my hands.

(And yeah, I'm totally taking credit for that, seeing how I was solely responsible for apparently 1/3rd of PTR bug reporting and the only one going through that one... ~~)

My apologies if this has already been discussed but here are the latest patch notes updates and might explain why the skill point requirement is still pre-PTR...

I suppose back to the original topic of this thread, if anyone should be farming their favorite demon before the patch. There may be even more impetus to do so if you are not planning on having many hard points in

Bind Demon (not my case--I'm max at 44 or so with +skills).

No, alredy got Cursed Lister with

Fanaticism Aura, got 20 hard points with +47 with all + skills and charms avalible, +48 after

Battle Command buffing.

Very nice. How is he working out for you. I've only managed Cursed + Might (and briefly Cursed + Freeze, till I teleported into the middle of a pack of cows.

Goatman and Mercenary, witch ofc have Pride lvl 20 aura.

Death Mark you can just move all your demons, so I think its a minor issue thats easy to work around, I Have never seen him go below Half HP unless I am spamming

Blood Boil in hugh packs of mobs, Run with 1 Defiler for more AoE on

Blood Boil, 1 Goat + Lister & Merc.
also did Ubers with the new Cused Lister, before I struggled to complete it and

Baal did regenarate back HP all the time, tough midigated that some with gear, but after cursed + fanta he got Turanusarus-REKT FASST.

might be good to add i buff my demon summons + Merch with lvl 20
