Do character equipment reduce resistance affect minions element damage?

if you have equipment says -50 light resistance,

does this affect your minions 's light damage? act like -50 light res or act like - 0 ligth res?

Yes.

-Res does work on all Necromancer, Warlock and Druid summons as well as Shadow Warrior, Shadow Master or Valkyrie.

Assassins traps also do count as minions.

Same is for the effect of a Sunder charm.

BUT: -Res/Sunder do NOT work for your merc!

For low items I also accept: Perfect Amys, Ral, Hel, Tokens, Keys. Please don't offer runes lower than Pul (with the named exceptions).

According to maxroll it doesn't work for minions:

-xx% Enemy Resistance
Items with -xx% Enemy Resistance (i.e. Rainbow Facet) only applies to monsters which are not Immune, or whose Immunity is considered broken by other sources. The final Resistance reduction is the summation of all sources equipped to the character. This Resistance reduction does not apply to damage dealt by Character summons, with the sole exception of Hydra. -xx% Enemy Resistance cannot break any Immunities, regardless of the total value.

It does work for traps since patch 2.6:

Assassin
The Assassin's trap skills now benefit from -% to Enemy Resistance.

Honestly can't remember if it got added/worked for 'pet summons' but maxroll is simply dated/incorrect as usual, seeing how that paragraph is proven wrong by traps alone already.

GingerGamingMentor says the same in this video here (55m 50s - 55m 58s):

So at least for Summon Tainted -enemy fire resistance doesn't work.

I cant tell difference after I equip Infinity myself. light Skeleton seems not increase damage.

So my vote for it is 'not affect' , I havent look it bit by bit, just feeling

Should probably get that added at some point, seeing how both, necro and druid summons could use some love in that regard.
Just..fix Tainted first, they're more than OP enough already. ^^

I was told that a Bone Break will work for necro and druid summons, if summoned while it is in your inventory. I am not sure about anything else.

The sundered effect is working for summons, but your char's - res (say -10 physical res) doesn't work on summons. So now you have to deal with 80 physical res on target, and summons are still dealing with 95 physical res on target.
This is what I think it is.
