-Res does work on all Necromancer, Warlock and Druid summons as well as Shadow Warrior, Shadow Master or Valkyrie.
Assassins traps also do count as minions.
Same is for the effect of a Sunder charm.
BUT: -Res/Sunder do NOT work for your merc!

It does work for traps since patch 2.6:-xx% Enemy Resistance
Items with -xx% Enemy Resistance (i.e. Rainbow Facet) only applies to monsters which are not Immune, or whose Immunity is considered broken by other sources. The final Resistance reduction is the summation of all sources equipped to the character. This Resistance reduction does not apply to damage dealt by Character summons, with the sole exception of Hydra. -xx% Enemy Resistance cannot break any Immunities, regardless of the total value.
Assassin
The Assassin's trap skills now benefit from -% to Enemy Resistance.
Honestly can't remember if it got added/worked for 'pet summons' but maxroll is simply dated/incorrect as usual, seeing how that paragraph is proven wrong by traps alone already.

I cant tell difference after I equip Infinity myself. light Skeleton seems not increase damage.

I was told that a Bone Break will work for necro and druid summons, if summoned while it is in your inventory. I am not sure about anything else.

The sundered effect is working for summons, but your char's - res (say -10 physical res) doesn't work on summons.
