What do YOU do after Hell?

Hello fellow enjoyers of D2,
I have several problems, which I'd like your help with.
My league starter was a warlock (lvl85, EchoingStrike 3,3k - 5,2k, 85str, 410vit, 75fr / 64lr / 46cr / 75pr, Insight, Lore, Stealth, ancients pledge, crafted rings,

Belt, 78fcr), my road was dark and full of terrors. After rescuing hell Cain, I spent several days farming NM cows and Countess NM, my highest rune is still

Ko. My mercenary was dying a lot, so I wanted to farm the

Lem rune for Treachery and needed a base for Bulwark. I had to dip into trade here and on traderie to do all of that (buy

Lem and base), after I killed

Baal i am kinda lost.
PS: I'm following the guide on Maxroll, which states all to Vitality for starter, all for STR for Standard, but I'm out of respecs (one spent at level 40, another two for respec for Echoing). I made some mistakes with the skills, so I wasted two.

Baal, I did my research, did some

Terror zones, Diablo,

Andariel, Countess, and Pit. First off, as a ladder online player its really slow, repairing my staff for

Andariel is like 71k, but my problem is i dont see myself going anywhere. The only upgrades I got is crafted stuff, no good bases, no higher runes, no good rares, no good uniques and no good charms.

I crafted Rhyme, but my resistances don't allow it. I also have 19%fr and 41%cr in charms.

I'm just wondering if I should make a sorceress and farm with her instead?

Should I bite through it?

Am I being silly for playing ladder? Coming back from PoE, Last Epoch and 1season of D4, seasons are where the fun is.

Try stack some mf, and farm

Mephisto for like a week. Basically you should get all routine stuff. HR is purely luck though

Kinda yes with Sorc. I have two Warlocks in ladder (first ever season for me when i commited to ladder, before that only nl) and i also leveled sorc, cause running andy/

Duriel/meph or t/h keys without tele is big no-no to me.

With Warlock I go to

Travincal, Chaos, d-

Key, WSK, Cows* etc, where you only need small amount of teles from staff. And I repair it only with

Ort+gem;)

*well, i first open a game with sorc, fetch leg, leave on the Ground and rejoin with warlock

Also all endgame uber content is easiest to go with warlock, so mainly this is the focus.


You're not silly for going ladder. However if you want endgame-build experience it's obviously easier to get to in NL if you had any "Wealth" there before. I did level one NL fire warlock before season with full gear beside gg

Circlet and oh boy, it kicks so well it feels like an almost different game. I'm doing TZ WSK waves with my eyes closed. literaly.

PS I would definitely upgrade your gear for anything with good +all skills. It will help you massively with

Echoing Strike Lock.

You can get low rolls super cheap, sometimes free. Spirit

Monarch, Vipermagi and weapon* should be perfectly affordable for you at that point if you forget getting anything close to perfect.

*For example I'm running with either

Naj's Puzzler or

Ondal's Wisdom (depends on location). Both Socketed with

Perfect Skull so with the amount of damage ES Lock is doing you don't need Insight mana regen. You can get +3 Ondal very cheap.

If you need Anni I will give you one.

EDIT
Obv +3 Ariocs is also easy to get. Altough I use (+4) only vs ubers because it's overkill otherwise and I prefer Exp/Tele.

How is Ariocs easy to get? Cant find where it drops anywhere?

Arioc is easy to get - what i meant was +3 to all skills Arioc is easy to trade into. Since you're trading here and on traderie you should be able to find somewone willing to trade for rals, hels or perfect amethysts.

Because items are gated behind treasure class and so forth, it makes sense to simply farm a bit once you make it through hell.

Collect all pgems / pamethysts

Ral runes you find, sell them for Ists, then trade ists for what you want. Don't aim for super perfect, usually "good and not too far from perfect" stays within "I play quite a lot but still have a life" range if you're not too much in a hurry

And play wherever you please : bosses, TZones, keys or statues gathering, etc.
