Agreed. While I'm having fun with my might + cursed Hephasto, it really is broken. What I'd like to see:

No binding of uniques. When bound, the demon would get some unique mods based on skill level, kind of like now, except that the pool of mods would be opened up and a little more random. You could get cursed and aura enchanted, or maybe you'd just get teleportation and mana burn. You'd need to keep binding to get something good.

Other summons could be buffed a bit to bring them in line, as well. I'd like to see
Revive
last indefinitely, but then the max summons would need to be heavily limited, like one minion plus one per ten points, or something. Revives should also use all their special abilities, like grotesques spawning, shamans raising, council members healing you, and so on. Skeletal Mages should fire
Bolts
doing magic (as opposed to elemental or poison) damage, which could actually make them useful.
Valkyrie
could get a very low-level
Defiance
or
Salvation
aura (the latter would be awesome for bow/
Spear
Amazons, who often struggle with resists), while Grizzly could get IAS with more skills points (and maybe remove or reduce the 18-frame delay).

Colossal jewels actually make unique items more viable. Is it enough? Not enough to displace Enigma, but it could shift the balance in some cases.

The question is how to get that token. We don't want to turn D2 into a boring grind for resources.

I believe it should be a cube recopy using at least 1 HR (
Lo
for example). Could be a different recopy for rare and unique items. It would reroll the affixes determined by the bracket range the item already has.

Stack barb shouts with curses, just like the warlock sigils and hexes can be stacked with curses now.

This would make barbs slightly better, and would make A5 merc a bit more useful, because he would not be overwriting amp/
Life Tap
/decrep.

On a similar note, A3 merc could
get access to necro curses - eg.
Decrepify
,
Lower Resist
and
Life Tap
, so it can get some actual utility.

This way you would actually have a real choice for the merc. No idea how to "fix" the A1, without something "weird" like allowing them to cast
Sigil Lethargy
for example - that could make them somewhat competitive.

Some proc effects could also be revised. For example
Lower Resist
proc - it's always on struck, as if this curse was a "defensive" mechanism, while it should actually proc on attack/on striking, because it's clearly offensive curse, just like
Amplify Damage
or
Decrepify

I would rather keep /players and set maps offline only

dedicated charm inventory
skill tree balance to bring more skills in line with the "meta builds"
sets buffed to be more competitive with runewords
new runewords that can compete with Spirit, Stealth, Insight, and specifically Enigma. I would love a

armor that is cheaper but doesn't have the str/mf etc that Enigma has

a5 repositioning

mercenary balancing (buff a1/a3 mercs)

Something I thought of a long time ago (before D2R, even), but forgot to put in my wishlist would be self-recharge items. This would be like the self-repair/replenish quantity mods, but instead would slowly replenish charges. You could have a unique item with, say, 20

charges that would replenish one

every 20 seconds or so. It would be useful for crossing rivers, walls, pulling the merc away from certain Death, etc, but it wouldn't just let any class blitz-tele through the WSK.

I'd also like to see better crafting recipes. Imagine a greater
Caster Amulet
with level 3 to 5
Meditation
aura when equipped; it could replace Insight on some builds (particularly those wanting to use a shield), or a greater
Hit Power Amulet
with level 1
Fanaticism
when equipped, things like that. Basically, keep them on-par with some mid-range rune words like Insight, Mania, etc, but useful enough for mid-game play or niche builds.

adjustable player count in online is certainly my priority now with self wield Infinity zon :)

a 9th class and act 4 merc would also be nice

and always a fan of diversity, buff the weaker spells / items so that they compete with the meta builds

That'd be a nice QoL, but OTOH it'd remove one of few remaining activities which requires player to actually play the game, not trade (or, worse, RMT).
Maybe make it soulbound, so the warlock can have a spare demon, but not trade it? Trading demons definitely doesn't fit the Warlock Lore...

Unless you mean a slot in the inventory, so the Cube can be (ab)used as additional storage?

Yes additional storage. D2 at its core is a magic find game and you can't really pick anything up with an inventory full of charms. So having dedicated charm and cube inventory would make mfing so much nicer

binding that would put items you pick up off the Ground directly in the cube. As it stands now my storage is just the cube and I have to open inventory, drag & drop into the cube for every item I pick up.

This would be nice. Like Shift - Click -> goes directly into Cube if you have it with you. Normal click -> just to inventory.

This all just reinforces convoluted work arounds or solutions to an issue that doesn't need to exist. If a change is going to be made, just increase the normal storage size by recovering the slots from charms and the cube. Then you don't have to play tetris between 2 menus and interrupt the combat flow.

Charm bracelet, charm pouch, duplicated 10x4 inventory for charms exclusively, whatever it is doesn't matter; to retain the fun associated with charms while not harming the looting experience.

Inb4 boomers respond with "back in my day we had to carry our shakos in a 1x2 slot uphill back from andarial, and this was before the invention of town portals. you newbs only playing for 5 years are so spoiled"
