Game server going down in X minutes, how to preserve herald progress?

No data yet

Description

Anyone else experience this when playing with friend online? We'll be running terrorized acts and after a bit the game server kicks us and resets our progress.

Wondering if anyone has any tricks or if we're just

There's no way to save the
Herald
progress as the server will reboot, and all existing games will be closed.

do not play during that message show.

I was encounter some small charm lost during that message show.

Just not play, the issue happen when message show and I was moving charm around....

I remember I lost around 40 - 80 small charm...

when I login back, my char just have giant empty hole in character and private inventory stash. And you really cant expect blizzard response to that.

It happens to me once , I was play as usual in that message show but only 1 time, the issue occur and have a can't forget remorse.

Please be aware, all my trade is in non ladder d2r. Not warlock.

Luckily, that doesn't happen all too often. Have yet to see it myself since RotW for example and not for lack of playtime.

But yeah, if you do get unlucky and your server goes down, there's nothing you can do. Your game isn't preserved across server reboots or transitioned to a different server, meaning you can't rejoin it. And since you can't rejoin it, you can't preserve any progress that is game-specific.

Just another reason why shards should imo be more of a "TZ's act for account for 2 hours" type thing, rather than "TZ's game so if anything goes wrong you're SoL".

I thought this was the case. I suppose we're just getting unlucky. Thanks for the reply.
