After ROTW was released I know this site along with few others data mined stuff. I know we had here in the database new crafting recipes for charms to add an additional affix. I also remember these were 'disabled' and I expected or assumed this would get implimented when the new ladder started. That has passed and still no recipes. I now see here that they have all been removed.
So I am thinking I must have missed something. Did these recipes in fact exist in the ROTW data mine? Has Blizzard communicated anything on new crafting recipes? Anything anyone can updated me on? I was excitedly waiting for these, tried one of the recipes out and did not work. Figured it was maybe ladder only, but now on ladder I had one toon and well you can guess what happened.

From what I recall, they pretty much boiled down to "take existing gear and slap -res on it", didn't they? Can't remember seeing any others.
In that light, I wouldn't be surprised if those were perhaps just some interim solution/alternative idea that got scrapped (=disabled but not fully removed) in favor of keeping the extended -res on the new stones and renewed sunders instead. Even the ingredients were largely the same as the sunder rolling is now I believe (albeit only 1 shard instead of 3 for magic).
Or not..who knows. Only time will tell.
Though it would certainly suck for those to be ladder only...really not a fan of the idea of "trash every single charm and re-farm all of them on ladder cuz existing ones can't be upgraded".

That was exactly my fear, this was going to be some ladder only gimmick. Would I have rolled these onto my existing charms? Sure why not, but all my toons are NL and I have no interest in ladder.
What also kind of means, this ROTW is a lot less content than I originally thought it was going to be.
That is worst scenario, if ladder only. It will kill small charm value 5/20 and so on...
Even for slightly okay scenario, both nl ladder works , it will still create a big Black hole.
Think of the case, 3/5 bottom roll and perfect roll -3 resistance vs 5/20 -1 resistance. Which one you will equip?
I guess many sorc will just choose 3/5/ -3 resistance over 5/20/-1. That will kill all existing small charm value. Current market already reflect the possibility of this change. It is unlikely to happen but have small chance.
Small charm value , in the time I see that post, go down around 10%.
Please be aware, all my trade is in non ladder d2r. Not warlock.
Did these recipes in fact exist in the ROTW data mine?
Yes, the were discovered via data mining. Blizzard never said anything about them, the only reason they were found was because they existed in the game files (but marked as disabled).
Has Blizzard communicated anything on new crafting recipes?
No, Blizzard never said anything. The community speculated that they would be enabled for the ladder season, or at least at some later point, but it was just speculation - Blizzard never said a word about them.
Teebling removed them from diablo2.io. He commented on the removal in the v1.55 site update thread in the following post: post4134199.html#p4134199. As far as I know the recipes still exist in the game files and are still marked as disabled. Nobody knows what Blizzard's intentions are.
