Can be used to make Runewords:
The best op items are often magic items, at least if you want to maximize damage.
6-40 javs, Jmod, 3-3-3 orb with 2 sockets etc.

I run the max roll again to see difference... (it has to be magic, cannot be rare)vued wrote: 5 hours agoNope.leox wrote: 3 days ago3/3/3 is around 3/18 Temperganseng wrote: 3 days agothanks.. with optimal i mean like uber / p8 killer
so theoretically an orb with 3/3/3/20fcr and 2 facets (including one new uber facet) would be possible?
20 vs 40 fcr
2 facet vs 1 facet
in practical, magic orb is bad. you are choosing between 20 fcr or 1 extra facet
simple solution is id and sell it, all rare magic ob lost and very hard to sell.
With 3/3/3 OP meant 3 tree skills, 3 main skill, 3 mastery. I.e. 6 to main skill and mastery.
This is the best you can get but those rares are extremely rare.
And yes, 2 sockets are max for rares, even if the base item could have more.
3/3/3 20fcr 2os vs Eschuta's Temper 1os
3/3/3 vs 3/20 = 2 all skill beat ~ 7% more fire damage
20 vs 40 fcr = 20 fcr lost
2 os vs 1 os = 1 facet beat. 5/5
My guess, in good setup it is 10% damage vs 20 fcr trade off.
damage view, it is 10 hit kill or 11 hit kill. Hydra fire, it is quick , yes.
and rolling magic orb is very difficult.
Also in case of rare orb. it is just lost, even if it perfect roll everything, there will be very small chance to equal or slight beat Eschuta's Temper in defense way. it is because that rare orb can only roll 2 skill. the first 3/3/3 will become 2/3/3 . The perfect roll is 2 os that makes it win around 4% or less and trade with 20 fcr. So actually it consider as lost.
And new jewel even make the situation worse. -res has its limit.
Please be aware, all my trade is in non ladder d2r. Not warlock.

You can easily hit 105 fcr with 20fcr (or even 0) in the orb and 10% more damage is huge. Here is an example: https://www.reddit.com/r/diablo2resurre ... /#lightbox
2/3/3 went for like 20K FG even with only 1 socket (lvl req 30): https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=83111079&f=355
I have a perf. fire eschutas with a 5/5 facette and still rarely use it. It's good just not BIS compared to what else you can get.

2 all skill vs 3 all skill = -1 all skill
3/3 vs 1 all skill + 20 fdamage = 0.5 - 1 skill beat
20 fcr vs 40 fcr = -20 fcr
equal fight
1os vs 1os
mana vs energy
0.5-1 skill+defense status vs 20 fcr trade off...
I feel that rare orb is a loser today. afterall it is 2020 weapon...
the first image, he use rare circle...that compare with perfect flicker...
I have feeling that both build will have exactly same performance. Regarding not much monster will fall in gap that one can kill and the other cant
As for 3/3/3 2os, I think you are right, 10% have difference, it is big gap , some boss might have 1 second difference.
and 2 skill difference...that you can get it by not use fire sunder and not take cube, if you play that feel same...your damage probably exceed what you really need....

yeah but i have Flickering Flame, +3 fire skills amulet and three skiller charms.. also Chains of Honor, rest is the same. so skillwise very similar. doubt the facets make that much of a difference.. unless the Wand itself has such extreme effect??vued wrote: 1 hour agoFacets and inv. full of skillers (lvl 45 fire ball).ganseng wrote: 1 hour agohmm how did he get to 40k Fireball? i have like lvl40 and it only does 20k. no facets though. or are facets dmg multiplicative to Fire Mastery?vued wrote: 1 hour ago

At lvl 40, you are at 14K-15K.
At lvl 45, you are at 18K-20K.
At lvl 50, you are at 23K-25K.
The facets don't make that much of a difference. With Fire Mastery at 45, you are at +338%. With 5 perf. facets you are at 363%.
But to answer your question: I don't know where the 39K-42K damage in the picture comes from.
