Warlock Book Bases

are these like barb helms, ie mostly useless?

max 2 sockets for all so:
Rhyme Splendor and Vigilance the only options

any good automods?

Moser's Blessed Circle than Vigilance and save a

Gul.

I guess it depends on the base. If you find a godly one with the right +skills it might be worth it to make one of those runewords.

A Rhyme's not a bad option if you find a decent enough base, but in the meantime, it's a cheap low level requirement option so I went with it.

For Magic Warlock

Ars Dul'Mephistos and for Fire Warlock

Ars Al'Diabolos will be very hard to beat as BiS.

And the 2 socket runewords are weak. So maybe a great rare or magic book will have some value, but 99,9% of all book bases will not be competitive endgame, I guess. (But I might be wrong, time will tell). For leveling in Nightmare and early Hell however, a decent Rhyme with some +skills is very nice.

Redemption is nice, yes, but

Apocalypse alone gives me -45% enemy fire res and i get -15% if I

Consume a

Tainted. Plus Flickering Flame and Infinity. The +5 to +7 to

Apocalypse are just massive, plus up to 25% fire damage. I have a bad one, which already is super strong, a good

Ars Al'Diabolos will improve your damage by about 50%. And on top of that you get mana for every monster killed (and you usually kill at least 10 monsters with one blast, often many more). That helps with the mana issues. On top of that: 25 FCR. Phoenix comes nowhere close. The Warlock's skills are massively OP, so is his top gear.
