Correct. The bonus for losing multiple times only apply for people who have never won. I wanted specifically to give people who have never won an advantage over those who have already won at least once. It is explained in the rules (I know it's a lot to read).

OP
I'm going to have to postpone the next round a bit more, sorry!
To accompany the new RotW DLC for D2R, Maxroll rolled out a massive update to the d2planner - it has been completely redesigned, with an entirely new UI, and ... not all of it is for the better - for my purpose anyway.
For starters, I can't seem to find a way to bring up the complete unfiltered item list (the giveaway item list is several hundred items long, might be close to a thousand, thought I haven't actually counted and now I can't!), I seem to only be able to list items by first selecting a gear or inventory slot which of course by definition limits the list to only items that fit in that slot and only showing items that are equippable by the class that the build is currently set to. Effectively, I need to switch class on the list to be able to add class specific items, and every time I create a new item to the list it will be equipped and needing an extra click to be unequipped. Also, when wanting to double check what I already have on the list, clicking a gear/inventory slot pops up a new window that defaults to assuming that you want to create a new item vs picking an existing item. And to make that matter even worse, when clicking on a weapon/shield slot, there are so many tabs in the popup window that you need scroll a scrollbar to the right to reach the "Existing Items" tab, and only then may you search for existing items.
All in all, everything will take far more clicks than before, both to add new items and to double check which items I have in the list (which I do while evaluating your submissions and sometimes to verify that something I've added is actually there). I have well over a hundred new items to add from the ladder reset, might be 200+, but I haven't counted. This Maxroll update has defeated me.
If anyone knows a way to do the things I describe above with fewer clicks, know of a way to revert to the old version, or completely different alternative, let me know!
I need to figure out a way forward that won't make me go insane. I'm PAUSING this giveaway for now. I'm sorry

I feel your pain. I was trying to theory craft a melee necro the other day and the new UI completely killed me. It feels less intuitive now. I figured it out the first time much easier than trying to find some basic functions that I am already familiar with.ShadowHeart wrote: 1 day agoI need to figure out a way forward that won't make me go insane. Microsoft did this a number of years ago when it completely re-designed its UI in Excel. I still can't find things that used to be immediately accessible. It's constantly a fight. Rant over.
Old man still killing demons and yelling at clouds.
Same. Oddly enough, a Necro as well.RackAnewShoe wrote: 1 day agoI feel your pain. I was trying to theory craft a melee necro the other day and the new UI completely killed me. Can you do that in a different thread or in a DM, I don't want this thread to derail into off-topic discussions.

@ShadowHeart Thanks anyway...
urgent problem is that you need an item list which i think d2planner has already deleted........ and then we will have many possible ways to rebuild something out....
from ai 's response:
Option A — Recreate the old D2Planner behavior
If you want, I can help you design:
A modern version of the “restricted item stock” system
Data structure for item pools
UI for selecting items
Build validation logic
Import/export format
JSON schema for items
How to handle affix rolls
How to handle jewels/charms/sockets
This is absolutely doable.
Option B — Patch or fork the new D2Planner
If the new D2Planner is open‑source, we can:
Reintroduce the item stock feature
Add a “restricted mode”
Add custom item import
Add stash‑based build validation
I can help you plan the architecture.
Option C — Request the feature from D2Runewizard
Since they already have:
A Hero Editor
A Stash Editor
A Build Planner
They are the closest team capable of adding:
“User‑defined item stock for restricted builds.”

Yeah Idk what they did, I mean there are some nice features, but they took everything away that was good about that planner, and just added fancy bells and whistles.
