only personal and your char inventoryGlowhawk44 wrote: 17 hours agoWhen you upgrade to the Warlock expansion, should all items be moved to the shared tabs? Or personal tabs? And do you lose the items on your character?
Just want to make sure I don't lose anything and the info would help others. I've seen people say they lost all their items, perhaps those were in the shared tabs and not personal tabs? Once you convert all characters, you get all your items from your mules?
Just want to make sure.

Do I get this right that I have to move my over 100 unid Annihilus and all my torches in the shared stash one by one to the expansion..?
1.) create new old game char
2.) put anni or torch in personal inventory
3.) convert to expansion
4.) move item to new shared stash
5.) delete char and start again
Really?

Are you sure your trading mainly in expansion?oOKIWIOo wrote: 10 hours agoDo I get this right that I have to move my over 100 unid Annihilus and all my torches in the shared stash one by one to the expansion..?

If you move to there, there is no way back and you can only sell to player in expansion.
But if you stay, you can sell to both side. Just ask them to pay in non-expansion then they can id them and find which to use.
It is not good if you move items to trade over there, if you need some special item there, you just need to prepare enough currency and trade there.
That your main holding still in non-expansion and able to convert anytime you need it.
in future if 90% asset hold by active player move there, I think you can think of move, before it happens, I recommend you stay
Please be aware, all my trade is in non ladder d2r. Not warlock.
I am currently not moving anything before I get a clear grasp of everything. But if I decide to get things moved I really have to move those items like anni, torch and gheeds one by one, right?

Am I the only one thinking 25€ for a new char, a bunch of news items and a new endgame activity is expensive ? Right and QoL, which had to be part of D2R...
25€ is half of the price of a complete PC game.

I feel expensive and not going to move forward because I feel this upgrade is buggy. My new graphic flashing in act1. But ok when move out .Tornado_OLO wrote: 9 hours agoAm I the only one thinking 25€ for a new char, a bunch of news items and a new endgame activity is expensive ? For QoL, think about rune space , 100 x 32 + gems space 7 x 100 + Key 3 x 100 x 2 and 2 char 140 x 2.
If I need a new storage, I will buy it. For the content, original is good. no need new char.
Overall, 0-100 (100 best) , I will give it 70 score.
But remember, the first LoD, there is no anni, no torch, no Grief. Just new act 5 and druid, terrible assassin.(The king was Windforce, grandfather)
The other way to think of this , if you want to buy. Just image that you spend 70 Jah to buy a -physical resistance jewel that can socket in Helm, the price is similar. This will really make the game totally worth it. (you can get many physical jewel in all char Helm)

I have many Annis, too. I just leave them in D2R for now. If you have a free character slot left, you can move them anytime to RotW.
It's not just the fact that you need to do it one by one. It's also the fact that for each anni/torch pair, you need to create a new character, and delete it after converting (and storing the items back into RotW shared stash). I'm not doing that 900 times. Ah well.
They really could use a one-click button to move items over...

this is story similar how I spend 1000m Gold on my lv 1 char in front of Gheed store. (10 k Gold per move, and 1000m Gold is crazy even if you have some man with hurk like strong finger)
You need something help you. google it if you really want to do it.
900 times is not human thing.
For people dont want too much trouble...
Google microsoft record your mouse move
Please learn to use microsoft tools,
I recommend, Xbox Game Bar (Win+G): Records screen activity, including mouse movements, as a video.
This looks good but I havent use much of it.

Shared stash would have nice to have had an option to transfer to Rotw. (But I get why they didn't)
I can see why there isn't an option for friends and people who can't or don't want to switch to Rotw right away.
I feel for people playing and having Torches and Anni like ShadowHeart for a long time..
I'm sort of lucky I picked up D2r about a month ago. So my switch and moving things over wasn't that bad.
If my Legacy accounts had to move it would have been a nightmare..

THANK YOU!Tornado_OLO wrote: 9 hours agoAm I the only one thinking 25€ for a new char, a bunch of news items and a new endgame activity is expensive ? Right and QoL, which had to be part of D2R...
25€ is half of the price of a complete PC game.
I thought to myself: I can't be the only one who realizes how expensive this is.
We get a few QoL features, that other devs include for free.
And we get a new character. Which is something like a 10 buck DLC.
25 bucks for a new playable class and some QoL improvements is insanely expensive.
And if we are not willing to pay 25 bucks, we get ZERO. Nothing. Absolutly nothing.
I can't believe it, but PARADOX - Paradox, of all companies - is doing a way more customer friendly job with Stellaris. Every new DLC is prices between 15 to 25 bucks, depending on the amount of new content. But parts of the content is free for everybody. So you always get improvements to the game. New features, new stuff to play with. But if you want to get the full flavor, you have to pay.
A game like Clair Obscure charges 45 bucks - for a huge and amazing game.
An even bigger game like BG3 charges 60 bucks.
Both offer a hundred, a thousand times the content of this new DLC.
Or if you want to compare it to Diablo 4 - Diablo 4 is 70 bucks. For a whole game, a lot of quests, story (yes, the story is horrible, but it is there) and 5 playable classes.
And if we take a look at the Lord of Hatred Expansion: 40 bucks and you get 2 new classes. A complete new region. A new story arc. New endgame challenge.
AND the quality of life improvements are for EVERY PLAYER, even if he doesn't but the expansion. That is a fair deal.
(Again, I can't believe I use Diablo 4 as a GOOD example for anything)
For Diablo 2 Blizzard asks for 25 bucks for a single playable class. No new areas, no new quests, nothing.
And everybody is celebrating like Blizzard announced that they found a Cure for cancer.
This DLC is severly overpriced, even compared to other Blizzard products.
And icing on the cake is that player who won't buy it get absolutly nothing. Again, Blizzards own policy with D4 is different.
D2 player get ripped off severly - and they cheer for it.
No wonder the gaming industry is in such a sorry state as it is.
I won't buy it and I wish they would have charged 50 bucks for it. I guess they wouldn't sell a single copy less.
I'm sure it will be discounted to 10€ or 15€ in a couple of months - D2R itself goes on -67% discount several times per year, I'm sure they will discount the DLC too eventually. You could just hold off until then. Unless it becomes a matter of Principle to you or something.

That's not about I can't afford it or any Principle, but come on, 25€ is dishonest for that content.ShadowHeart wrote: 5 hours agoI'm sure it will be discounted to 10€ or 15€ in a couple of months - D2R itself goes on -67% discount several times per year, I'm sure they will discount the DLC too eventually. Calling this an expansion is also dishonest.
Blizzard knows we are all 35+ so we aren't students with no money.
