Obedience for cheap fire sorc ?

being HC poor and wanting to try something different ...
reasonable for an unskilled sorc player?

I like the idea.

-25 efr kind of doubles your damage vs non-immunes, which are the only ones that you don't evaporate anyways.

20-30 all res is nice but you will still lack ressis. Are you going full vita or ES?

Getting to 105 fcr will be tricky, but possible with arach, 2x fcr rings, and a 15fcr amu. Let me check if I have a spare one.

An alternative is 6x cheap fire facets in a CS or similar. 3/3 are almost free and you would get -18/18 in total. Since it's one handed you can still have a Spirit shield.

Another (better) suggestion:

Tal Rasha's Lidless Eye, the 3 set-piece bonus gives you -15 enemy fire res. You combine it with

Tal Rasha's Adjudication and

Tal Rasha's Fine-Spun Cloth (which gives 10 fcr as a 3-piece bonus) and then you can wear a shield. Phoenix would be best, of course, but it's too expensive. Spirit is great but needs lots of points into str.

Lidless Wall is a good choice if you want to stick to low str and a higher life pool. The damage will be lower than with Obedience, but you will gain lots of good defensive stats and some fcr on

Tal Rasha's Lidless Eye and the shield, which is VERY important for a fire build. Obedience has -25 enemy fire light res, but NO FCR. Both weapon slots without FCR is a no go for me.

I suspect Obedience may be slightly better damage for you than the +4skills and FCR of spirits (and much higher vs fire immunes)... but all the other defensive/utility benefits of spirits will likely make them the better budget choice.

Belt and Orb are cheap, only the amu costs a bit. And he already has a Flickering Flame with a

Vex.

But I agree, double Spirit should be better in HC, because defense and FCR (also for

Teleport) are better than just damage if you want to survive long on HC.
