Giving away my EU Ladder items before reset (free raffles, Discord)

Hey everyone,

With ladder reset coming up (whenever Blizzard decides ), I’ve decided to give away my remaining EU Ladder items instead of letting them rot.

I set up a small Discord server where I run simple, free item raffles:

• Ladder (PC)
• Games hosted on EU servers
• Random winners, no paywalls, no activity requirements

The idea is very straightforward:
Each raffle runs for 72 hours, everyone gets one entry, and the winner gets the item.

The first raffle is already live:

• Duration: 72 hours
• Winner drawn on January 3rd (end of day Jan 2nd)

This is very early and intentionally small — mostly just to see if people find it useful or fun. If it doesn’t take off, no harm done.

Unfortunately due to how participation works, you must join the discord server. You cannot participate from the forums directly.

If you have feedback, suggestions, or think this is a bad idea, I’m genuinely open to hearing it.

Thank you for the giveaway, but there have been (and still are) a lot of raffles and giveaways in this forum. Why point people into joining a discord server? This personally just seems a bit weird.

That’s a fair question, and I understand why it might seem unnecessary.

The main reason I’m using Discord is simply practicality on my end:

• It makes it easy to run timed raffles
• Winners can be drawn automatically and transparently
• I can notify people when a raffle ends or a new one starts
• It avoids having to manage things manually across forum posts and PMs

There’s no requirement to be active or chat on Discord — it’s basically just being used as a lightweight tool to run the raffles in one place.

If this ends up not being useful or people prefer forum-only giveaways, I’m open to rethinking it. This is still very much an experiment.
