Where are my small charms?

Weird and freightening bug just happened to me. Was doing solo terrorcs with my pala and when i make next game, small charms,

Tome of Identify and

Key went poof. All self found charms. Except for some 20life/10lr sc they werent that expensive, but this is just frightening. Someone else faced this?

maybe its because of too much item attributes on the char. The pala carries a lot of crafted stuff. Thought they fixed this Sht a while ago, but does not seem so. Thanks bluzz.

You're on PC I'm assuming? Was the internet connection unstable at the time? Had you recently moved these items from your inventory into the shared stash and then saved and exited, and then subsequently closed the software shortly thereafter?

This is an issue that is well known to happen on Nintendo Switch, I'm unsure about other platforms though.

Confuse what makes this happen.

I lost very little small charms that I cant remember at that time. (all I see is like yours, some item disappear and leave a big hole) My lost is very limit.

After that happen to me, I start to put a very big grant bow or tresher to make it less likely too many item, but recently it shows , item is not the case cause this bug.

my case is pc, and when I look back, I guess it is happen between server reset, you play save exit. if you happen to get caught in middle.

Doesn't sound like any of the usual criteria where I've seen this happen before.

This is an issue that's known to happen on Nintendo Switch when playing offline SP. Happens when items are moved from personal stash or inventory into a Shared stash, game is saved and exited, and software is closed right after - the items that were moved go poof - and only if this is done when there is no internet connection or unstable internet connection, or the console it set to airplane mode. However, I've never seen it happen on console in an online game/online character.

Not sure if anyone else can offer any more Insight or experience into this.

in my case, I see server about reset in xx minutes.

Action:
I move items , save exit, switch char, continue move items, sleep.

when I login back next day, it happens. my charm is mostly self find but mix with some trade.

I dont exactly remember what charm I lost, it is some resistance charm/

Ist rune. not very expensive but big space gone. (my guess atm around 10

Ist worth thing but it create whole inventory big empty space ,20x or 30x and some item gone in share)
I was have a lot of item selling in market but in the point of view today , it is very low value thing, charm, jewel.

if the server says reset in xx time, just quit.
in case the game is saving stuff.

also your items dissapearing would not be surprised if it was a bug, I was teleporting on my way to mepho and my character died in an empty room, no Death scream(sorc) no monsters in sight, my mercenary didn't attack anything, my sorcs body was just on the floor.

I guess it is invisible doll. When internet unstable, they cant be seen , at least it happen to me several time.

nope, my internet is the most stable around this place, I don't use wifi, and no, there was nothing on that empty room, there was no lag spike or anything, my sorc just died once I teleported into the EMPTY ROOM.
talked to another guy and he said it happened to him once before, just a new bug on D2R.
randomly dying for no reason, it's only worse when you are lvl 96+ lol.

Not sure about PC, but I know on Switch if you press and hold the screenshot button to take a screen recording, it starts from 30 seconds prior, making it easier to watch afterwards and pinpoint what cause of Death was. Did this recently for a HC Lvl 87 paladin I lost doing Ubers.

Yes, this is possible in Windows 11 - you need to enable it in Settings > Gaming > Captures. You can choose how long segments you want it to auto-record in the background, and hit Alt+Win+G to save the current segment to a clip.
