runes have nothing to do with mf

True, but when I go farming without MF, I always expect to still find runes and bases but not the other good stuff (at least in my head xD)

This might be a good time to incease your mf and farm most of the Terror zones in the game while activating the easter egg that increase your MF with 1000%+ while in the same game,it is gone when joining a new game.
Is this still active? I thought they took it away

The events in past years must have been great to make people complain about this.

ohhh yeah. there were def some solid event days. i was looking forward to the 50% reduced vendor prices. I think you overestimate the 25% bonus XP. People already have +10% from the Ani.War The Wise wrote: 1 day ago. This will get folks massively to 99 across a number of characters and allow you to run any TZ you want in the top list every single hour of every day for 30 days.
So 100 XP was already 110. Now it is 135. That is only an improvement of 23%.
So if you had to farm 100 hours, you now have to farm 81 hours.
That is 19% less time.
A decrease of the neccesary farming time for lvl 99 by 19% is not really a huge lot, is it?

We first have to assess that the top TZs are available 24/7 for unlimited farming which is not the standard case where based on normal tz rotators, you need to account for elite density and clears (games/hour). This is key as you have the ability to power farm density centric zones at speed and scale.
I did a mathematical assessment in my video last year on 25% TZ XP and this also assumed already a 10% XP anni - it is moderately significant [helpful] (see image below )
Assume clvl 94, players1, with a 10% Anni to your point. It would take you 161 Throne of Destruction clears to get to clvl95.
With the 25% Bonus, this drops to 134 ToD clears to get to clvl95 or 16% (efficiency gain in #). If we equate a time element, assuming ~3 mins per run, it saves you 1.5 hours.
Naturally, the closer you get to clvl99, the efficiency becomes more material (as far as efficiency back to you).
clvl98, players1, 10% xp Anni, it would take you 731 ToD clears to get to clvl99; this drops dramatically to 609 with the 25% XP boost. Or now 6 hours of time saved, etc.
I would look at this benefit less about absolute percentages, but about relative time back to you which really is the variable to hone in on here. I'm sure many get stuck on 97-98 and potentially have stopped to move on to greener pastures. This at least now provides some level of runway that likely gives some level of motivation.
Again, this all coming back to the first point above, you are not beholden to the randomization of the TZ, and only for an hour. You have permanent and indefinite controls for the duration of the event.
In the end, my main original comment evaluating this years event was simply to denote that it will certainly 'ease' the pain (grind) that comes with the prototypical patience of climbing to 99.
