Was the trade made in the forum trade listings or in private?
If the trade was made in the forum trade listings, then once a trade is completed you go to the mark trade as sold button. Then just follow the instructions on how to list the items sold, how much it sold for, who the buyer was, and then mark the buyer as trusted.
