Eth Black Hades

Hey folks! Just curious, what are the use-cases for an ethereal Black Hades? First, I assume this is a mercenary use-case? Second, what on earth do you socket this with?

I don't know much about this armor, but I remembered that there is something special about this one.
Keep it in case it does have a value is what I can say.

I have no idea, but could it be for running Travincal?

You can play around with it since whatever you socket it with can be removed. Ask yourself what you think your merc needs to best help your char and then find out if it works. Unless you're loaded I wouldn't start out by socketing it with three Ber runes to see if 24% damage reduction would help but then again I just might, but I'm not saying you should do it.

That's a very interesting use-case indeed . Unfortunately this is offline and I have many better ideas for this rare, often sought after rune!

Hi, this is Crown of age+chain Honor replacement.

Black Hades + Vampire Gaze is slightly stronger vs Crown of age + chain of Honor in general case, due to Crown of age is hard to full status.

You can socket it with jewel, if you search for jewel equipment, Black Hades + vamp provide you 4 socket, while Crown +chain is 2 and 1 socket worth status.

Black Hades, any Eth will work , afterall you will need to re-roll upgrade defense. some low ED will beat high ED after reroll.

use case: Death jewel style setup, cold,fire,light,poison. For this use case, Eth or not, doesnt matter much, you need merc die but not die too easy or too hard.


Merc: a5 bar Frenzy, dual wield Last Wish, Black Hades + Vampire Gaze > Crown of age + chain of Honor by 3 socket - Um, around 2 socket.

A Eth Black Hades with 200 ED is used in a upgraded version (Shadowplate) in the meele PVP community where high defense values are important. If the roll goes well you can archieve a body armor with 2500 defense and 3 open sockets. One socket will be needed for the Zod rune, the other two either for Ber runes or some nice Jewels.
