Help understanding character screen numbers please.

So im mid level barbarian running

Frenzy. As far as iv understood the barbarian uses the 2 handed damage even when wielded in 1 hand, correct?

So im currently using

The Patriarch in my off hand, upgraded to an

Executioner Sword saying 94-161 damage on 2 handed in inventory screen. In char screen with

Frenzy it shos at 374-661.
Now i found the unique

The Atlantean. Looked like a decent sword shows 61-146 damage in inventory screen, but a whopping 477-1177 in character screen...
So both would benefit from same

Blade Mastery etc so it skinda strange.

Iv tried todo the math on this, and i cannot seem to understand why the atlantian would out damage

The Patriarch upgraded. Iv also checked with ai, and there too it seems the DPS would be way better with

When you run frency you use two weapons, then you use the one-handed damage of two handed swords. You use one hand to hold the big sword.

doing a rough maths 661/80 ~ +720% dmg for the

Frenzy dmg on the patriach.
Taking the 146 dmg from

The Atlantean with +720% is ~1200, so it seems to check out.

Seriously? Iv read so many places that 2 handed damage on weapons are used for barbarians even when wielded in 1 hand...
Is this something special for

Frenzy etc?

I don't think other chars even show the one-handed dmg as only barbs can carry them in one hand. All other chars need to use two hands for

edit: example from a sorc, only two-handed is shows as she doesn't ven have the option to wear it one-handed

No, it has nothing to do with the skill. When held in one hand, it uses the 1H damage, regardless of attack/skill. It's the same no matter if you're dual wielding or have a sword + a shield.

And like SuperIllu says, other classes can't even see the 1H damage on 2H swords, only Barbarians can. Similar to how on shields, only Paladins can see the

Smite damage, and on

Boots, only Assassins can see the kick damage.

Wel It totally makes sence. I just read places online before that due to a bug the barbarian used the 2 handed damage on those... Wel maybe it's fixed later then.

I don't mean any offence, but AI is not at a point when it can be trusted as a "reference". AI is so often wrong and people really need to stop trusting it.
