I didn't know that dclone also drops rune, yet the lowest one -.-

After cubing a few runes and successfully making a Stealth, I finally manged to acquire the runes to make an Edge runeword bow. The Edge runeword was released in Patch 1.10 and I'm playing Patch 1.14D. So it went like this. A 3 OS Superior,

This is actually something I do not quite understand. Why some runewords wont work in singleplayer offline? or does that count as "non-ladder" automatically? I dont play singleplayer so I dont know how that works.
I just knew about the Ladder runewords which wont work in non-ladder, so is this similar situation; youre making ladder runeword in non-ladder?

Edge does work in Single player offline. At least it did for me recently (month and a half ago maybe). Offline single player on Nintendo Switch.

Lot of runewords however don't work on SC NL that do work on Ladder and SP offline from what I've recently seen. Basically SC NL is the one that seems to get boned.

From what I've seen (my own experience) all the runewords labelled "Ladder Only" work in Single Player offline. I.e. Bulwark, Hearth, Ground, Edge, etc. Those are a few of the ones I recall using as recently as couple months ago roughly. That's why I was baffled at first when my "

This is LOD not D2R, right? As far as I know in LOD many runewords only work online. They changed this with D2R so that, at least by my lights, offline is now the same as ladder.

i think the issue is the Edge and some other runewords were released with Patch 1.10 as Ladder only runewords. Since I'm playing patch 1.14D single player offline LOD, I figured it would be available. First I tried Stealth which is an original runeword (pre patch 1.10) and it worked, so I tried to roll from patch 1.10 (Edge) but it appears that all patch 1.10 Ladder runewords are still unavailable, but I don't know for certain if the non patch 1.10 runewords are a available yet so that will require some research.

I think the issue is that the last version of D2 released on a physical install disc is 1.14D, the version I'm using. So no runewords or ladder runewords released after then won't be available for offline install and use. So short of loading Battlenet and grabbing some of the new patches, most runewords are off limits to me. Right now the best bow runeword available to me appear to be Melody and Zephyr.

One of the QoL change made by D2r was making ladder runewords available in sp.
No matter the patch number on LoD, you won't be able to make ladder Runewords.
No Spirit, no Insight, etc.

If you want to play LoD, you could try to download PlugY, wich iirc, enable ladder runeword to sp.
