Description
One of the new patch 2.4 Runewords, Pattern is considered an early game item suitable for Assassins; particularly those heavily invested in Blade Traps or the Martial Arts tree. In the former case, this runeword is eventually abandoned in favor of Plague. In the latter, Mosaic is preferred.

Pattern
One of the new patch 2.4 Runewords, Pattern is considered an early game item suitable for Assassins; particularly those heavily invested in Blade Traps or the Martial Arts tree. In the former case, this runeword is eventually abandoned in favor of Plague. In the latter, Mosaic is preferred.
Pattern was ladder only during Patch 2.4 and Patch 2.5 (Ladder Season 1 & 2). Since Patch 2.6 (Ladder Season 3) it is possible to create Pattern in non-ladder.
2.4 patch notes incorrectly list Fire Damage as 17-62. Actual in-game values are 12-32.
There is an amusing mistranslation in the German localization, which calls the runeword "Prasseln" (to rhythmically come down, crackle, clatter). Evidently they came to this from the verb "patter" (pattering Rain), rather than the noun "Pattern".
