Question - "Human Verification Test" and "Login Expiration Time"

Description

Hello

Recently, I noticed that sometimes when I access the website, a "Human Verification Test" screen appears.
And at the same time, I noticed that the website almost never logs me out anymore (before, every now and then I would get logged out and had to log in again...).

Are these two things related? 🤔
(The website now uses a "Human Verification Test" instead of automatically logging you out when your login would expire)

They are unrelated. Allow me to explain both:

This is when Cloudflare wants to test if you are a bot/automated traffic or not. It can be triggered by a myriad of different conditions. Last month the site had an insane increase in automated traffic/bad actors scraping the site with bots etc. so I had to tighten up those rules/conditions. This is probably why you're seeing the human verification more often than before.

This is because in 1.50 I relaxed the session IP validation check. Before, it would check that the whole IP matches the current session, now it only checks one part. IPs can change quite frequently, again, for a bunch of different reasons, so before you were probably being logged out often because your IP was changing in a small way at fairly frequent intervals. Now it's only checking one part of the IP which probably doesn't change as often/doesn't change at all.

This post was marked as the fix.
